@Shashunnn@ScorpioPatrol@Lumichaoss I wasn't making a biblical argument. I was making a historical one.
The Bible has a motive. It's theology.
I think the probabilities run higher when you work to understand him as a human who was a product of his time and place.
Calling himself God at all seems unlikely.
@Shashunnn@ScorpioPatrol@Lumichaoss Ok, ChatGPT, I suppose you're an atheist given that you're computer software. You want to chip away at this by proving the premise that Jesus is divine? Let's work on proving that the Bible is itself a reliable witness to the supernatural first.
@Shashunnn@ScorpioPatrol@Lumichaoss Look at that. You've landed on it being a mystery of the faith. I called that. You'd almost think I've done this a few times before.
Smarter people than you have failed to make this work. It is what it is.
You worship a man who probably wouldn't have approved of you doing so.
@Shashunnn@ScorpioPatrol@Lumichaoss Is your mind a distinct person? Is your body a distinct person? If not, how is this analogous to a doctrine that insists on three distinct Persons?
Is this the part where we redefine the term? The ole goalpost shift?
@Acts17David@muslimorthodoxy@InspiringPhilos David Wood, and Sam Shamoun especially, are complete representatives of Christianity. I mean that literally, and that isn't a compliment.
@ScorpioPatrol@Lumichaoss You just presented the heresy of partialism. People have been trying to make this work for a long time. You're not presenting anything new. You're still relying on heresy and mysteries rather than making a logical argument. It doesn't work.
@Sathomas22@Issybeatz_ Yes. At least a few times a month, usually during the last stretch of sleep before I wake up, I'll dream an entire song. I'll remember most or all of it when I wake up, but I have to get to a guitar or piano as soon as possible. If I don't, parts of it can start fading by noon.
@SStricklandMMA In a few years, everyone will look back on your X posts and realize the signs of CTE were present. I hope there are people close to you who see it and act to help you. I mean that.
@MasterMaliq Right. That analogy is modalism. A heresy. Christians can't explain the Trinity doctrine. Every time I've discussed it with one, it begins with heresy and devolves into a "mystery of the faith." Their math doesn't math, and they don't understand what polytheism is.
@IFBased@UltraMEOWga@smashbaals Oh, no. You indeed proposed that I should be executed. I gave you the opportunity to demonstrate that your position was righteous and aligned with Jesus' supposed teaching. However you, as I expected, only demonstrated that you're an idiot, and I did indeed enjoy. Thank you.
@IFBased@UltraMEOWga@smashbaals You're cherry-picking. In Luke, Jesus isn't commanding Christians to execute unbelievers. It's the king in a parable speaking about his own enemies. In Romans, Paul explains the state's authority to punish wrongdoing. Neither supports your claim. You aren't good at this.
@IFBased@UltraMEOWga@smashbaals You've cited a psalm and the civil law of ancient Israel. You still haven't shown where the New Testament authorizes you to hate, condemn, or execute unbelievers. You're assuming an authority that wasn't given to you, and you're failing to reason otherwise. It's amusing.
