An 11-year-old who survived the school shooting in Texas went into survival mode and put someone's blood on herself to pretend she was dead. The classmate next to her died and then saved her life. This is the kind of trauma you hear from an active war zone, not a 4th grade class.

I finally went to go see a therapist today and she told me “whenever you catch yourself in a dark place and you think you’re being buried alive, you’re actually being planted to grow into a better version of yourself” and just like that my perspective has been changed.
