Week 18 Playoff Viewing Guide -- Saturday Games:
CAROLINA @panthers (8-8) at TAMPA BAY @Buccaneers (7-9) Sat 4:30pm ET
If CAR wins or game ends in a tie:
* CAR will win NFC South division and will be #4 NFC playoff seed and TB will be eliminated. They would host the #5 seed Wild Card weekend (either SEA, SF or LAR).
- If SF wins Sat night, SEA would be the opponent.
- If SEA-SF tie, SF will be the opponent.
- If SEA wins, SF will be the opponent UNLESS LAR beats ARI then LAR will be the opponent
If TB wins:
* Both TB and CAR must wait for the NO at ATL (7-9) game at 1pm ET Sunday to determine NFC South Champ.
- If ATL wins, CAR will be the NFC South Champ winning a 3-way 8-9 tiebreaker on head-to head record (3-1 vs TB 2-2 and ATL 1-3) and TB will be eliminated. CAR will be #4 seed and will host #5 seed Wild Card weekend (either SEA, SF or LAR) with opponent scenarios same as above.
- If ATL loses or ties, TB will be the NFC South Champ winning a 2-way 8-9 tiebreaker on record against common opponents (6-6 vs CAR 5-7) and CAR will be eliminated. TB will be #4 NFC playoff seed and will host the #5 seed Wild Card weekend (either SEA, SF or LAR) with opponent scenarios same as above.
SEATTLE @Seahawks (13-3) at SAN FRANCISCO @49ers (12-4) Sat 8pm ET
If SEA wins:
* SEA will be the #1 seed and will have a bye Wild Card weekend and be guaranteed homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
- They will host the lowest remaining seed Divisional weekend; either the #4, #5, #6 or #7 seed.
- They cannot host #2 (either CHI or PHI) or #3 (either PHI or CHI) seed that weekend.
- SF will be the #5 seed unless LAR beats ARI at 4:25pm ET on Sunday in which case SF will be #6 seed.
- If SF is #5 seed, they will travel to either CAR or TB as #4 seed on Wild Card weekend and LAR will be the #6 seed.
- If SF is #6 seed, they will travel to either PHI or CHI as #3 seed on Wild Card weekend and LAR will be the #5 seed.

* SF will be NFC West Champ based on winning 2-way 13-4 tiebreakerbeating SEA on division record (5-1 vs 3-3), will be the #1 seed and will have a bye Wild Card weekend and be guaranteed homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
- They will host the lowest remaining seed Divisional weekend; either the #4, #5, #6 or #7 seed.
- They cannot host #2 (either CHI or PHI) or #3 (either PHI or CHI) seed that weekend.
- SEA will be the #5 seed and will travel to CAR or TB on Wild Card weekend.
* LOS ANGELES @RamsNFL (11-5) can only be the #5 or #6 seed and will be watching both games on Saturday with interest.
- LAR can only be the #5 seed and travel to CAR or TB on Wild Card weekend if SF loses Saturday night and LAR wins Sunday afternoon.
- If SF wins or ties OR if LAR loses or ties, LAR will be the #6 seed and will travel to either PHI or CHI as the #3 seed on Wild Card weekend.
