@MartinetZone@AgboObinnaya Best option? According to what? The law? How do you know you have contaminated a crime scene? Did you commit a crime? Let the hospital declare the corpse brought in dead, let the coroner find out the cause of death and if criminal let the family of the deceased call the police.
@chrilenciaga@Cr7Godbrand Honey, for 300k I could hire a team of chefs for a whole year to do that huffing and puffing you are doing calling it cooking and my taste buds will thank me for it.
“Be humble” is great advice.
But how humble, as humble as you? Humility is relative, like any comparative term, and comes in degrees.
If I’m less humble than you, am I arrogant?
If your child becomes a reader, about 80% of the education job is already done. Everything else is secondary. Reading is the meta-skill that enables all other academic skills. History requires reading. Science requires reading. Even math increasingly requires reading as it becomes more sophisticated. The child who reads voraciously will figure out everything else. Growing up, I struggled with maths, now I know why: I had teachers who were unable to adapt to different learning styles. Encourage your children to read voraciously. Incentivize it if needed. There is no downside.
I learned quickly that I need people, but I don’t need everyone. Sometimes I, too, will be the dead weight that gets cut.
It is useful to serve; it is useless to be everyone’s servant.
Do not be afraid to lose relations of any kind when you stand on principle.
You will make new ones and who knows?
They might even make your life easier and more importantly they won’t tell you how to live.
"To ally with great powers to defeat your neighbor is a strategic trap
If you win, you become the slave of the greater power
If the allied power is defeated, you remain alone and defenseless against the angry neighbor, and you are destroyed."
—Niccolo Machiavelli
I was never a bright “student,” not by any measure. That worried me: past tense, not anymore. I entered the real world and found out that the rules are vastly different. Like Nassim Taleb would say, “Academia is to knowledge what prostitution is to love: close enough on the surface but, to the nonsucker, not exactly the same thing.”
