We're celebrating the 4th by demanding freedom & human rights for all!
Families are being caged in concentration camps, stripping them of their humanity.
Join us TODAY (7/4) at 11am to demand the closure of detention camps. 4250 Federal Drive, Batavia, NY 14020 #CloseTheCamps
Black students in #Utica are far more likely to face school suspensions & referrals to law enforcement, according to a recent @AQE_NY report. We must revise the Code of Conduct and put an end to the school-to-prison pipeline. @kandreotta https://t.co/RWrKCGLQ1B
We're speaking up at #Utica school board meetings to demand more diversity in staff and curriculum & change discipline policies driving away minority students. @CNY_CANY#SchoolsNotPrisons https://t.co/49aKHx7een
Forget the lack of response to our requests for information. We've got clear violations of the open meetings law, disregard for the comptroller's audit, harrassing phone calls urging us to "tone it down."
We need someone to take a serious look at what's going on in Karam's administration. The Utica School District's "Standard Operating Procedures" are problematic af. @OD_Roth
We requested the district give us a copy of a single unit of 4th grade ELA curriculum and we were told -- get this -- that they would need 60 days to comply because so much of the material is in storage.
Come on down to our Fish Fry & Soul Food Dinner TONIGHT from 5-8pm at Cornerstone Church in Utica. Tickets are $15, $10 for members, $5 for kids. See you there!

People are rising up and rejecting watered down legislation and half-measures that don’t get to the root of the problems our communities are facing. We need leaders in Albany like @CynthiaNixon & @JumaaneWilliams!
So proud to work for an organization that does the right thing!
Today, @citizenactionny announced our endorsement of @CynthiaNixon for Governor and @JumaaneWilliams for Lt. Gov. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tonight from 6-8pm at the church at 40 Faxton St. in #Utica
We stand in solidarity with everyone demanding accountability & justice #BlackLivesMatter

We are having a black lives matter vigil tonight from 6-8pm to honor the people who have died from police. Hope you can join us #BlackLivesMatter#SaheedVassell
15% of households in #NY22 receive food stamps. @RepTenney will vote soon on the Farm Bill, which will likely try to cut food security programs.
Give her office a call at 202-225-3665. Tell Tenney not to betray 15% of her constituency for a few wealthy, out-of-district donors. https://t.co/JX7W2YAazP
Today's "Soup & Bread Line" outside @RepTenney's office illustrated what life was like before the safety net existed.
(Tenney & her Replundercan ilk are talking about cutting food stamps to pay for those tax cuts that mostly went to the rich.)
