Last year we lost a truly great member of our squadron, CPO ‘Happy’ Munday. We had the huge honour of a visit from his amazing family and got airborne for a local tour in ‘whiskey’, our mighty Merlin aircraft, dedicated to their beloved father and our greatly missed sailor…
We don’t always curse the bad #weather, sometimes we embrace it 😆
Fast and low can be a go to #tactic for delivering our @RoyalMarines to the target and what better place to train than sunny Wales ?? 🏴
A great day watching the annual Field Gun competition @HMS_Collingwood. A fantastic final with a #FAA first and second, @RNASYeovilton crew narrowly pipped to second place by @RNASCuldrose, by 0.3 seconds! Incredible grit, determination and teamwork by all.
A great section from the @RoyalNavy 60 second update covering our time out in Portugal working with @Esquadra751 👏
Looking forward to the possibility of working together again very soon !!

845 NAS on Op Achillean in the Mediterranean.
Recent 845 NAS training on Op Achillean has seen ‘B’ Flight carrying out Winching on RFA Argus and Helicopter In-Flight Refuel (HIFR) from HMS Albion.
We flew over to Aldergrove in Northern Ireland this week to visit some aspiring aviators, and hopefully inspire the next generation of sailors and soldiers!
We had a great time showing them around the mighty Merlin! Thanks to all the volunteers who made it possible 👏 #flynavy
Forward Air Control! 💥💥💥
FAC(A) is on the menu this week and @847NAS is hungry for it! The capability to control fast air or other aircraft's 🔥 is not lost on 847 and our pilots are quickly becoming the leaders in it! 💪💪💪

2000 HOURS 🚁👏
A huge congratulations to Lt Cdr Thomas on surpassing 2000 hours in the air. Welcomed back to @RNASYeovilton in the traditional fashion by the squadron.. and a fire hose.
Not a bad time to hit the milestone in this heat! #flynavy
