Mobilizing our community to improve identified health needs in Jefferson County.
Focus on healthy lifestyles, substance abuse, and zero suicide/mental health
More is being done today to prevent suicide than at any other time in history, and AFSP is proud to contribute to this effort.
Project 2025 is our bold goal to reduce the annual suicide rate in the U.S. 20% by 2025.
It's Mental Illness Awareness Week, and we want to remind everyone how important it is to prioritize your mental health.
If you are living with a mental illness and need extra emotional support, the 988 Lifeline is available, 24/7/365. Call or text 988.
Taking even just a few minutes to write about what you're feeling could help you tackle those back to school nerves. We have you covered with a few journaling prompts to get you started. Visit https://t.co/o0A8C1Gm9l for resources to take care of your mental health this year.

We agree that people should have a safety plan, even if it is not a gift from Oprah. Check out this safety plan template to help get you started. https://t.co/0uQGtUD3GH
I think Suicide Prevention needs an Oprah moment. “You get a safety plan, you get a safety plan, you get a safety plan!!!” ANYONE can experience a suicidal crisis and we know safety plans can help navigate that. #AAS21
Feel like everything is spinning out of control? Try to focus on things that you can control, like connecting with others or allowing yourself to feel your emotions by journaling or meditating. Bottling up your emotions can lead to burnout, so take care of yourself! 💚
Put this number in your phone now in case you, a friend, or family member want to talk to a Crisis Text Line counselor.
