Kevin Costner revealed that when they were filming For Love of the Game, then-Yankees owner George Steinbrenner refused to let them use Yankee Stadium because the Yankees lost in the movie.
Kevin Costner: I call up George. He's a legendary guy, difficult guy, and I wasn't certain how I was going to go about doing this, but so much was riding on it.
And so I called him up and I said, "Hello, George."
He goes, "Hello, Kev!"
And I said, "Hi, George."
He goes, "What do you need, Kev?"
And I said, "Well, George, we're not... it sounds like we can't come to Yankee Stadium."
He goes, "That's right!"
And I'm thinking to myself, Where's my dad? I need somebody to help me with this. I don't know what to say to this guy.
I said, "George, but we had a contract."
He goes, "I know that, but I can't let it happen, Kev."
And I said, "All right, George, you want to explain that to me, why?"
He goes, "Well, the Yankees lose."
"The Yankees what?"
"They lose. Can't let that happen, Kev."
The assumption: "I self-custody bitcoin. The hard part is done."
The reality: your heirs may need legal standing to claim it, documents that name it, perhaps a trust that holds it, and enough operational knowledge to actually access it.
If you share this blindspot, you can:
SOUND HSA is partnering with @unchained and @gannettrust to bring multi-institutional, multi-signature bitcoin custody to health savings.
Triple tax-advantaged HSA treatment. Real bitcoin, not paper exposure. Built for the modern health sovereign.
Why it matters: 👇
For years, the bitcoin community handed the bitcoin-as-technology story over to altcoins and stablecoin companies. We did it for reasons that were half-right: bitcoin is genuinely more than iterative technology. More like a sociopolitical paradigm shift than a software update, the technologist's frame, taken alone, is indeed far too small to hold all of that.
But we want to take the technology frame back, and we don't have to give up a single thing we believe to do it. We think people of any background can be told the story of bitcoin's first 16 years and trusted with the rest.
That's the story behind three new resources we built:
— The New Rules of Bitcoin: a short documentary with @atlanticrethink, featuring @natbrunell, @NSmolenski, and our CEO @josephkelly. The bitcoin story, told for the broader curious in an approachable way.
— Rethink Bitcoin: an 12-lesson educational course that explains bitcoin with interactive components, calling people to rethink bitcoin the technology, assuming zero shared priors. https://t.co/zOi2nvx8KC
— The Pattern: which sets bitcoin alongside three cornerstone technologies everyone already understands: the printing press, electricity, and the internet. Each reorganized the world around it. Bitcoin is next. https://t.co/5AzVgSv4IL
Share these with your friends and family—you might be surprised to find they resonate in ways other resources don't.
Healthcare costs keep rising, and most HSA holders leave their contributions sitting in ever-inflating dollars, missing years of potential growth.
We're pleased to be working with @getsoundHSA to combine the tax advantages of a health savings account with the collaborative custody model you already know.
Bitcoin is held in multisig custody between Unchained, @GannettTrust, and Horizon Trust, while SOUND HSA facilitates the connection with one of life's biggest expenses: healthcare.

Michael @Saylor highlighted the Unchained Bitcoin IRA at @BTCPrague last week.
Unchained IRA is the only IRA that allows you to hold real bitcoin with keys you control.
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
Some clients have the hardest assets imaginable, but also the most questionable in-laws. Here's @GannettTrust CEO @vandrewattycpa on how we might handle that.
You know bitcoin.
But can you explain it to someone who doesn't?
The people you're trying to convince still aren't sure.
We built Rethink Bitcoin for that conversation.
The one you've been having with your brother-in-law, your financial advisor, your college roommate, your parents.
A few questions that meet people where they actually are and challenge what they think they know about the Rules of Bitcoin.
Take it yourself first. Then send it to them.
Have you been trying to convince a friend or family member that bitcoin should be taken seriously and they're just not getting it?
