@TwistedFocus99 @DoeJumars I get the point, but the blind side still matters depending on the QB. With Goff’s mobility and pocket style, LT is pretty critical. RT is valuable today, but for certain QBs LT still matters a lot.
@TBrandon84 I think the Lions could sign someone in free agency, a big splash or a veteran placeholder. Drafting a center is possible if the right guy is there, but they usually take the best player available and fill gaps in FA, even with short-term deals. I’d keep Tate where he is.
@AnthonyWriter5 Sewell could move to LT and the Lions draft a tackle for RT, or he stays at RT and they draft LT. Either way, a tackle was always in the plan. Center likely via free agency; DE, SCB, RB2 a mix of draft and FA.
@inglec@DetroitOnLion Familiarity with players can make this move look like it creates holes. In reality, it gives the Lions flexibility to get younger at tackle, whether Sewell stays at RT or moves.
@justinaug09@LionsRoyalty Whether you want to call it elite or not this season is irrelevant. Relative to Arizona, Detroit’s OL was better and that context is what matters when evaluating a coordinator.
@Justin_Rogers How do you evaluate the current state of the offensive line going into this offseason, and as you look at age, injuries, and contracts, where do you see the players you already have fitting into the plan moving forward both short- and long-term?
@_ItsSho Assuming it’s Dallas colors. Could it be Amari Cooper?
Traded to the Cowboys in 2018 (mid-season from the Raiders). The offense immediately took off after he arrived.
Media talked about the Cowboys’ turnaround like a freight train.
