Leadership is about demanding excellence without disrespect.
You challenge effort, not character.
When you hold a teammate accountable, you do it because you refuse to let him settle for less.
You demand more because you know there’s more.

The Difference Between a Manager and a Leader
Managers oversee tasks. Leaders inspire action.
I’ve worked with both, and the difference is night and day. A manager tells you what to do. A leader shows you how it connects to a bigger vision.
A manager enforces rules. A leader creates a culture where people want to follow them.
A manager controls. A leader empowers.
Companies don’t need more managers. They need leaders who can elevate teams, build cultures, and drive lasting impact.
Which one are you?

Look for those who genuinely believe in your potential and will speak up for you when you're unavailable to advocate for yourself. These people will support and open doors for you. 👏🏼
A RECIPE TO CREATE A CULTURE OF GREATNESS
As I’ve been speaking to different organizations this year, I’ve noticed something interesting. My book Soup, which I wrote years ago, is really resonating again. I haven’t talked about it enough, but since it’s making a comeback, I want to share something straight from page 161—a recipe for building a culture of greatness.
Here’s the truth: The energy you pour into your culture is just like the energy you pour into a pot of soup. It determines the quality of what comes out.
Here’s the recipe that works every time:
• Stir the pot with Love.
• Lead with Optimism.
• Share the Vision.
• Build Trust.
• Fill the void with Positive Communication.
• Add a big dose of Transparency and Authenticity.
• Create Engaged Relationships.
• Combine Inspiration, Engagement, Empowerment, and Coaching.
• Fill up with Appreciation.
• Heat with Passion.
• Bring it all together with Unity.
It’s simple, but it works. And just like soup, the more care and love you pour in, the better it tastes.
Ask yourself: What energy am I pouring into my team, my culture, and my relationships today?
If this resonates with you, share it with someone who’s building something great. Let’s spread more positivity and create stronger teams together.
What would you add to this recipe? Share your thoughts in the replies—I’d love to hear them.
