Celebrating National Women in Sports Day like 🚀❤️
Thank you to all of the women who have come before us and the women who will come after us that continue to pave the way, push the envelope and break glass ceilings everywhere.

Rajon Rondo closed his AAU timeout by preaching one thing — play off two feet.
Not a play. Not a trick. Just jump stops.
And watching his son Pierre and his teammates execute it is all the proof you need that this concept works at every single level of the game.
The jump stop puts you in control. Not the defense.
Joe Mazzulla on dealing with praise:
“Praise is just as dangerous as criticism. You
just have to remind yourself that neither one lasts too long. And, really, at the end of the day, they're going to forget about you eventually. This is all just a short-term thing that’s going to last a few years, and then 10-15, years from now, nobody is going to talk about you. So it really doesn’t matter.”
Joe Mazzulla explained why he often credits others rather than himself. Worth a listen:
“I think being a D1 basketball player, you grow up with this sense of entitlement, as if the whole world revolves around you. And…if I wanted to be a better husband, a better father, a better coach, I had to get rid of that type of entitlement.”

Geno Auriemma's heated opening statement for today's pregame conference "I just don't understand some of the decisions that are made about our game when we're trying to grow the god damn game"
“I need you to lock in… I believe in you but you got to want this moment.“
Coach: Eye contact, reaffirming confidence while giving criticism
Player: Eye contact, listening, responding
This is some good coaching and credit to the player being coachable!

College basketball team goes nuts after successfully teaching their freshman teammate how to ride a bike.
The Fort Scott Community College team in Kansas was seen cheering on Taylor Frost as he successfully rode the bike.
Head basketball coach Matt Glover organized the event for a team bonding activity.
“He provided the bike and helmet for Taylor and his teammates were able to teach Taylor something I was unsuccessful in doing,” Frost’s mother said.
Wholesome.
