I studied 200 DMs from entrepreneurs who weren't closing,
Every single one made the same mistake,
I made it too,
Here's what we were all doing wrong and how to fix it
A thread ๐งต๐.
A book and a car, you have to choose one,
I'm choosing the book.
The car will depreciate, my brain won't,
Am I making sense, or should I hand over the keys?
Everyone can learn a skill and become good at it
But the real work starts when you're serious about monetizing that skill.
That's where consistency, positioning, marketing, sales, and building trust come into play.
Learning the skill is the first step.
Turning it into income is a completely different game.
Getting your first client is the first step
Start here ๐
Having a skill is not the problem.
Everyone has one.
Copywriting.
Web design.
Consulting.
Video editing.
The hard part is your first client.
After that, the rest get easier.
Step 1.
Create 5 samples. Write 5 emails. Edit 5 videos. People care about results, not your client list.
Step 2.
Find buyers. On X, search keywords in your niche. Writing? Type โacquisition.โ Buyers are talking right now.
Step 3.
Analyze first. Read their bio and content. Make sure you can help. Spam 1,000 DMs for 1 yes. Or send 10 targeted ones for 1 yes. Your choice.
Step 4.
Send the DM. Ask what they are building. If they seem interested, send your samples and explain how you would help them.
Step 5.
Offer a call. Hold firm on price. Clients who haggle never value your work, ever.
@Data_Dud Well said,
Our need for the money shouldn't ne the goal, always choose providing the needed value to the market and you'll always make it big.
