2026 WPIAL 5A BASEBALL THIRD-PLACE CONSOLATION GAME: Two days ago, No. 8 Montour defeated No. 3 Thomas Jefferson, 9-3. Caleb Armbruster and Tyler Puffer both recorded three RBIs for the Spartans. Both teams will play in the PIAA 5A Baseball Tournament starting next week. 📸⚾️

Spartans knock off #1 seed Pine Richland, 3-2 and win their 11th straight to earn a spot in the WPIAL semi’s. Weber throws a gem and gets the W. 6.1 IP, 3 hits, 10k’s. Foley gets the save closing the game with 2 K’s. Ivanoff & Weber w/ a hit each. Ivanoff w/ a clutch 2 out RBI

Montour takes down Pine-Richland 3-2 to move on to the WPIAL Semi-Finals this Thursday and clinch a spot in the PIAA State Playoffs!

Foley came out of the pen and slammed the door with 2 huge strikeouts in the 7th!

Spartans win 10th straight & move on as they beat West A, 6-5 in 9 innings. Weber strikes out 11. Foley gets the W, 3 inn., 0 runs, K’s 5. Ivanoff leads offense w/ 3 hits. Puffer walks it off in the 9th w/ his 2nd RBI of the game. Young w/ a huge, 2 out single in 5th to tie game.

Offense led by Stern & Armbruster w/ 3 hits each. Weber w/ 2 hits & 3 RBI’s. Spartans end the regular season with a 15-5 record.
