The Newport Wildcats earned their first 9 win season since 2005 - after defeating Ludlow 23-7 in the Second Round of the 1A playoffs.

These don’t mean much in the regular season, but I’ll be darn if this ain’t cool. 11th year coaching and not only my first time in my coaching career we are sitting top ten in RPI, but we’re at #3 doesn’t mean anything yet, still a long season. Still cool though!

What a special play by a guy who is our team captain and goes hard everyday at practice. College recruiters, I highly recommend watching this kid. He’s a special player that would be a great addition to any roster post-high school!
