Teaching a young kid Mechanics and how to slow down is like framing a blank canvas and telling a artist to put art in it & not touch the frame.
Gotta learn to flow & create. It will be awesome & messy. Keep going!

@HyattCraig I love so much of this. So many of the people I see try to “stay back” so much that they let their center of mass get back off the balance & have top spin, pull side (not in a fun way) issues. I’d love to see a glow back to center to “feel” pressed down but hit lasers.

@nextlevelbb Few thoughts:I think it has a lot to do with many touch throws in competition but even more that the ball is around 17 ounces so the arm doesn’t get to the same speeds, not down a mound, & possibly shuffling into throws helps the arm w/body momentum.
@dominikkeul@qualityatbats Right. Primarily I mean as far as getting to work & practicing uncomfortable pitches & locations. Especially quality ones younger guys struggle to pull the trigger on.
Off-season hitters struggling with a certain pitch or area need to switch their mindset to “inviting” that pitch in mentally. You will work with a pitch You’re happy to see & anticipating much better. Same for in season adjustments vs a pitcher. #SwingIt
