This is it. I need to circle the wagons. I will not allow the hate filled people who elected that POS to get at me. If you are one of them, I have zero respect for you as a human being. It’s time to delete accounts, unfollow, and unfriend. Take your hate elsewhere.
We've got a youth mental health epidemic.
Part of the reason? Without being aware of it, adults are training kids to have hypersensitive threat alarms, without the tools or resources to handle any sort of challenge.
The consequences are dire:

6 life lessons from Marcus Aurelius/
1.) Cut out the inessential
2.) Stop making excuses
3.) Embrace failure
4.) Trade anger for sympathy
5.) Always do the right thing
6.) Complaining will make it worse
Pro tip: A big misconception is you need to be motivated to get rolling. You don’t.
Research shows motivation FOLLOWS action, not the other way around.
You don’t always need to feel good to get going, sometimes you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good.
10 years ago, 8-year-old Martin Richard was among the three killed in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Teach your kid how to lose well.
Failure is a part of life. The earlier someone learns how to process, learn, and grow from failure, the better. If you see your child losing it, freaking out, unable to handle a tough loss, consider it as a sign they need perspective.
Stress + Rest = Growth.
Stress:
•Just-manageable challenges
•Think 7 out of 10
•Ask yourself, "What is the next logical step?"
Rest:
•Switch away from primary task
•Transition out of fight-flight stress response
•Sleep (for body AND mind)
Balance these. Simple as that.

High school and youth sports are so valuable because they get at our basic psychological needs:
-We belong
-We can make progress
-We can have an impact
It's not about achievements. It's having a space to challenge ourselves in a healthy way.
Don't ruin sports, parents!
