BEWARE! August and September are what I call poaching season. That’s when “National” programs who have franchises, usually from Texas and the South, start trying to steal everybody’s best players by buying them. That’s because they can’t develop them themselves! It’s unfortunate that our great game has come to that- yet here we are. Our philosophy is if somebody wants to get bought and that’s what’s important to them then they are not what we want in our program. They are not #OKG. The front of our new shirt coming out reflects the landscape. @NorCalBaseball @prepbaseball @PerfectGameUSA @vtoolbseball @jaegersports @nextlevelbb @Danielle138252

Some coaches spend more time making sure the camera is pointed at them than making sure their players are prepared. If your highlight reel has more shots of you than your players, you might be more interested in being an influencer than being a coach.

Toxicity at its finest but Standing on Business isn’t for everyone 🤷🏻‍♂️

[Coach Decoteau @CoachDecoteau]

You’re betting on us quitting to protect your comfort. That’s bad math.

It's been a great year and we are blessed to have so many great families in our program. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and great Holiday season. @NorCalU1 @NorCalBlack @NorCalAces @HillOrsino

Take away from yesterday’s haircut session with my barber/therapist Haiche, One day our kids will realize—we didn’t bend the knee or kiss the ring for their opportunities. We built a foundation of effort, integrity, and belief so they could rise on their own.”🧱❎🧱

They love to act like they forgot you, till you remind ‘em who really started the wave. 🌊🌊🌊

“Cool, your launch angle was 28° and exit velo 102… but can you get a knock with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs? That’s the real stat they’re looking for.”

[Train More Play Less Mindset @tmplstandards]

Most coaches don’t know what a “dog” is or what “elite” really means. They call kids “dogs” and “elite” just because they’re good players.

I want to see their work ethic in areas they don’t enjoy, their mental toughness, their discipline, their eating habits, and all of their habits.

“Travel ball“ now has SILLY SEASON! Inviting kids, many of them not ready, to play in All American All State all block games that mean absolutely nothing, appeals to ego, but cost a fortune 🤷‍♂️. Buyer beware. @BluebookBeede @nextlevelbb @ClintHurdle13

So our 2027 Evo team faced our 2027 U Team in the semifinals and as expected it was a great game. 1 to 0 with the U winning. Great effort by both teams representing the NorCal U family the correct way. Competitive great players, great coaches, great families @NorCalU1

[Coach Decoteau @CoachDecoteau]

“It’s wild that a high school program team can go an entire year without touching the weight room. No strength work, no edge. You’re not building athletes — you’re just hoping talent shows up.” @tmplstandards

[Matt Lisle @CoachLisle]

“I don’t want to teach just baseball, because I don’t want to face the Lord one day and he tells me, ‘I sent you over 600 boys for you to turn into men. I see you turned them into baseball players, but you didn’t turn them into men.” -

“ if our ultimate goal is really to get home, to get to heaven, then I think we should be arming them with some of the tools to reach their ultimate goal I haven’t read yet that their ultimate goal in life is to be a baseball player. That’s questionable in my opinion.”
