Pet peeve after offering a kid a scholarship…
Comment from Current Adult in their Life: “Congrats! First of many! Can’t wait to see the many more offers to come!”
Me: “How about I withdraw my offer & leave y’all to go collect 100 more offers to feel validated? 🤣”
Moral of the story — You need the ONE right offer to have a successful college career, not 100 offers to get likes online.
Don’t push kids to collect a million offers just to have them. You want the RIGHT offer to go have a successful, fulfilling career!
Ritchie McKay took over a Liberty program that went 19-45 in the two previous seasons.
He's 292-137 in his 10-plus seasons, has gone to 3 NCAA tournaments in THREE different leagues.
The Flames are 12-0 in C-USA and are 23-1 in their last 24 conference games.
This year's team has 3 terrific seniors in Kaden Metheny, Colin Porter and Zach Cleveland, and sophomore guard Brett Decker has been phenomenal. He leads the team in scoring (17.4 ppg) and is shooting 51% from 3.
My daughter played 2 mins vs USC…
She ran at 6am that morning
She shot over 500 3’s the day before
She did PT after and ice bathed
After the game, she got in the sauna and ran 2 miles to offset lack of game run.
Staying ready is a mindset.
It’s not for the weak minded.
It’s for the dedicated who see a bigger future ahead and the few that believe they can do the job when called upon.
This girl will see the fruits of her labor! No doubt!

UPSET IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS: Liberty stuns Kansas State by two. A tremendous win for Ritchie McKay, one of college basketball's most underrated coaches.
@franfraschilla It also comes down to the way they train their youth. They practice all week and play 1 game, while it’s normal for AAU teams to practice 1-2 times and play 5-6 games in a weekend.
If you haven't sacrificed for your "passion" it's not really your purpose.
You might think it is but it doesn't mean enough to you yet.
I'm talking about old school blood, sweat, and tears.
It's different when you care for real.
Liberty’s Kyle Rode made a very strong impression today on the bevy of European scouts here at PIT.
19 PTS, 3 REB, 2 STL, 1 AST in a win.
Showed a lot of defensive fight and that he’s more than just a shooting specialist.
