Eleven days ago, I sat down with Johnson County Community College's record-setting baseball team to learn how they'd taken over juco ball.
Tonight they won a national title after an undefeated romp through the Juco World Series.
A story worth watching.

Missouri Scoop offers up our condolences to the family and friends of Coach Stan Kee and the Carrolton Football community.
From Chik Miller via Facebook:
"A Sad day for all of us Carrollton Trojans. The passing of a Legend Coach Kee. You can count on one hand the men in your life that has made a difference in your life. One who can bring the best out of you, one who you have so much respect for, a father figure.
If it was on the football field. Red Rage or the old gravel track. Stride with Pride. Those things are installed in your heart and mind forever. All the former players now coaching, all of his players who went and played at the next level, the long list of
All State players. To all the other coaches he helped. Coach Kee is truly everywhere. To each and every home game we are blessed to be playing on the field that he is named after, and so much more. Are you hurt or are you injured. 3 things happen when you pass and two of them are bad. It did not matter if it was 5th and 6th grade football on a Saturday morning he was there. On the hill by the BBQ grill watching. At the Jr. High games. At practice you would look up that hill we all hated to run and there he was. Taking it all in. That weight room in the summers or the track in the spring.
Coach Brad Gaines said it best. The coaching world across the state of Missouri and especially in the Missouri River Valley Conference lost one of it's finest.
His players and fellow coaches loved and respected him so much. They don't make-em like Coach Kee anymore. Well said. We would eat nails for him. We believed in him and he brought the best out of all us. We will miss you Coach. Class of 91."
.@beckett_hall's 2 home runs, rare walkoff sac fly in road game from @SipesNolan helped spark @Piratebaseball's young lineup. PC won final 2 games of both early-season multi-game events in strong bounceback from slow start: https://t.co/ZL1njCS9qG
Rick Barnes is a Legend and for him to have this to say about Tennessee shows what kind of place it is
“Of all the places I've been, Tennessee is the most electric place I've ever been."
Big opportunity tonight against Iowa State
You can’t build tough athletes by burning them out.
This piece breaks down how @MonteSparkman builds speed, strength, and confidence without sacrificing health. Movement first. Sprinting as protection. Strength that supports performance, not ego.
Build athletes. Don’t break them.
