Josh Hoey ran 1:47.67 in 2018 to set the high school indoor national record. He turned pro rather than attend Oregon.
Hoey ran a PB of 1:47.04 this indoor season but today had a huge breakthrough to win Florida Relays in 1:45.54 — great to see the talent shine through! He’s 24.

Tyler Azcano graduated from high school in 2022 with zero offers and a 10.87 wind-aided 100m PR. So he took a gap year and worked on his craft.
Now, he’s a 10.09 100m racer headed to the U20 Pan American Games representing the 🇺🇸
