Coaches if you are not playing Piggy Up Piggy Down at camp…add it to your list. Our kids love it & we love to see them diving on the floor for that loose ball.
"Tonight is an accumulation of everything. @RidgeViewHoops coach @TEAL_POPS message to his team before they hit floor for 5A Division I Boys Championship
Congratulations to Outstanding Performance winners Chris Horton, Kendell Mack and Kamauri Hunter:
@KamauriHunter Kamauri Hunter impacted like the game really swung in the balance during his 1H minutes, he was so tough when defending on ball and had a great feel for taking the contact or dropping off an assist when driving to the rim.
@chris_buckets09 Chris Horton impacted beyond point scoring with 3 steals and 4 assists. He drew a key charge in the post, turned a scrappy offense rebound into a made 3, closed out defensively with high hands - the little things that make a huge difference
@Kshifty1_ Kendell Mack impacted everywhere. In a dual that included two of the top rated PGs in the state going head to head, he defined a 🐕 mentality getting after it with ultimate energy and physicality every second and every play. While he was game high point scorer, he defined true PG essence getting his teammates set up in optimized positions to score very selflessly while playing hustle defense every rep.
@AndrewBaxleySC@PrepHoopsSC
PH SC #3 2028 RJ Davis (@iamrjdavis, @RidgeViewHoops): 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks in a win over Cross Creek (GA) at the Stars & Stripes Showcase.
FINAL:
Keenan - 56
Sumter - 42
Other than a 2:00 stretch in Q3, it was a comfortable win for Keenan. Kamauri Hunter & Isaiah Jacques were both huge in the PG slot, so if they can get performances like that from them consistently they’ll be right back where they were last year.
I had the opportunity to take a few kids on @UNC_Basketball campus and ran into basketball royalty! Coach Carey Rich was the ONLY coach to ever give me a chance. Sometimes that’s all a person needs to grow up and figure it out. Thanks Coach, I see where you got it from!
Happy to be back on X 😎I never felt a need to post much but I will try to share more of my life on Social Media…Thanks to all that encourage me to do so😉
Not enough time in travel ball to teach all the in game components i think these kids need….but the main things I hope they take from me is how to care about the game, the opponent, their teammates and opportunities in a manner thats required to have a SHOT at success.
How to practice, how to work with pure intentions about every detail, how to believe, how to prepare. Fundamentals don’t just apply to making layups and free throws. They apply to how to go about your business in general.
