Middle America families stuck in the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time that is travel baseball.
Baseball needs Legion Ball played at high school fields in t-shirts and gray pants more than ever right now.
Whether I agree with some, all, or none of someone’s opinions I respect those brave enough to engage in civil debate.
Those people are heroes and should be revered and celebrated as such.
I’m mortified by what happened today.
Sickened.
Tearful.
Saddened.
We all should feel sadness and the pain of what happened today to Charlie Kirk.
He was a good man.
A family man with kids who loved him.
This is an incredibly sad day for America.
You don’t have to agree with his political views to acknowledge that.
This is a dark day.
RIP Charlie.
We can debate policy all day, but this is the reality teachers live in:
Every school has students who can’t go a single hour without derailing instruction, and they’re shielded from consequences at every turn.
It’s unjust to those who came to learn. Everyone knows it, but if you say it out loud, you’re the problem.
Paul Maurice was asked this morning how difficult it is to make every guy in the dressing room feel like they’re an important part of the team.
Fantastic question. Response was better.
My daughter is a senior in high school. There are so many activities to celebrate at the end of the year. From prom to senior awards to graduation, I cannot believe we deprived healthy young adults these pivotal milestones during covid. Absolutely heartbreaking.
I remember adults who celerated all these events during their youth completely discounted their importance for this generation. Just reprehensible.
When one student disrupts the entire class daily, it’s not just a discipline issue, it’s a theft of education from the other 25 kids.
Inclusion shouldn’t mean sacrificing everyone’s learning.
To anyone saying ‘Well we did the best we could with the information we had at the time!’
No. We absolutely did not.
The information we had at the time was clear:
Lockdowns are destructive.
Schools are safe.
School closures harm kids.
Babies need to see faces.
Masks don’t work.
Silent lunches are cruel.
Virtual learning is a sham.
Social distancing is utter nonsense.
Isolating the elderly is inhumane.
Mass testing fuels panic.
Bars should not open before schools.
Patients should not suffer alone.
Government should not ban worship.
Mandates destroy trust in public health.
Closing gyms and binging Netflix isn’t healthy.
Censorship is an abuse of power.
Gathering and human connection are essential human rights.
We knew. They knew.
But anxious adults on a power trip decided to ignore all of it and irreparably harm us anyway. Never let them do it again.
If your professional identity as a teacher is built on being "relatable," then you've really misunderstood the mission. You're not a camp counselor and you're not their friend.
Kids don't need an overgrown best friend (they don't like you that much anyway, trust me), they need adults who demand excellence and, more importantly, model it.
The left is full of chatter about how they need their own, liberal version of Joe Rogan and the like.
But that's the thing: The left used to have a liberal version of Joe Rogan. His name was Joe Rogan. He voted for Obama twice and endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016. But because he's openminded, will talk to anyone, and doesn't mindlessly accept the latest propaganda, the left kicked him out. They censored his interview with Robert Malone and pressured Spotify to drop him.
The left can't have their own version of Joe Rogan, because everything that makes Rogan special makes it impossible for him to be on the left.
CBS says we probably won't know the results of PA tonight and "delay does not mean anything nefarious is happening."
Third world countries get their results on election night but PA can't figure it out and we're supposed to believe everything is fine...
To the people voting based on abortion,
If Trump wins, you are not going to lose your rights because it’s up to the states.
If Kamala wins, she can’t change anything because it’s up to the states.
Hope this helps.
@PresidentPat You can't be a great teacher without taking work home. It's impossible and teachers should stop aspiring to it. Part of the job is that work will need to be done outside of school hours. We get out at 3pm and have the summers off
@MattGlantz Your definition of dumb is probably off is the problem. So no, people don't agree with your take. 50% of all types of people are on either side basically.
Here’s how we restore public trust in elections:
1. Single-day voting on Election Day, as a national holiday.
2. Paper ballots.
3. Government-issued ID required.
This shouldn’t be controversial.
It never ceases to annoy me that the most lucrative job in education is selling verifiably false information as an education consultant
