The most surreal thing of our trip so far. Currently driving towards Louisiana and the radio station we were listening to started talking about our trip and played Ella Langley especially for us😭😭😭
Real Men of Genius
Today we salute you, Mr. A-Gap Power Fullback Maxxer 🫡
Every time you shift 3 Meatheads from the T-Formation to the Maryland-I, a Bald Eagle gets its wings 🇺🇸
International World Cup fans discovering America and having a blast is earnestly warming my heart.
Going to thread my favorites throughout the tournament.
A staff member from the Texas Veterans Land Board's Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen recently took this beautiful photo of a fawn resting in front of a gravestone. Apparently, the doe leaves her fawns in the cemetery while she forages for food. The cemetery staff has been in touch with US Army Veteran Albert Ragsdale's family to share this touching image.
Meet Edward. After being found as a stray with severe arthritis and spinal deterioration, he was given just six months to live. His family set out to make those months the best of his life.
Then they discovered his obsession with the ice cream truck.
Despite struggling to walk, Edward somehow finds an extra gear whenever he hears the ice cream jingle. What was supposed to be six months has now turned into 27 months and counting.
Every week, he still shows up for his favorite frozen treat, proving that sometimes the strongest motivation in life comes in a waffle cone.
I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!
Genuinely, all these tweets of World Cup visitors getting to experience the best of Small Town, USA fills me with a national pride that’s been on holiday lately
Tom Brady takes you “inside the helmet” and reveals what he said to himself when his team was down 28–3 in Super Bowl 51.
He shared this lesson with a room full of Georgetown graduates, leaving them with something to remember for hard times:
“I’m taking you inside my helmet at a very vulnerable time in my life and one of the biggest moments of my life.”
“And that inner self-talk that people talk about, that should be positive — you know what I said?”
“I said to myself, ‘DON’T BE A LITTLE B*TCH. Go out there and fight your ass off.’”
“Whether you win or lose, fight to the end.”
The greatest comeback in Super Bowl history started with Tom Brady telling himself not to be a “little b*tch” and fighting until the very end.
there’s a German guy named Freddy here for the World Cup
as far as I can tell his meals on Monday were:
Waffle House at 1 AM
Wendy’s for lunch
Chili’s for dinner & NBA Finals Game 3
little does he know he just earned his citizenship, that was the secret meal combo to unlock it
Out of 16.4 million Americans who served in WWII, only about 40,000 are still alive.
They’re dying at a rate of ~100 per day.
These are the heroes who saved the world from tyranny.
Find one. Thank one. Listen to their stories.
While you still can.
