Teachers don't need to work 60+ hours a week, spend weekends grading/planning, or say yes to everything they're asked to do to be considered PASSIONATE about their job. That's burnout, not passion.

To follow up - sick time should never have to be the difference of a paid or unpaid FMLA. New teachers are struggling! @massteacher we voted to tax the millionaires- where’s the push for paid leave?!

Teaching is: going back to work 5 days after COVID regardless of how you’re feeling because you can’t afford to take any more sick days since they are your future “paid” maternity leave. @massteacher fix this.
