Pick a standard time and place to do it.
It’s easier to wake up knowing “I exercise at 4pm” than to decide each time when to fit a habit into your day.
If it’s already decided, all you need to do is show up.

Leaders, If places exist where teachers are scared to talk with one another, then that barrier has to be addressed first. School improvement does not happen if they can’t talk to one another. They not only need TIME but established protocols for psychological safety.
Calendar committees, Many kudos to those looking to balance both professional learning and growth WITH staff collaboration to do what is best for students.
Curriculum, instruction, and assessment REQUIRE collaborative conversation. They are three legs of a three-legged stool. One affects the others and STUDENT LEARNING requires all three. No time for staff to collaborate? Expect nothing to change.
