The badge is bigger than every billionaire in that boardroom.
Years of chaos. Years of embarrassment. Owners making themselves the story while Manchester United pays the price.
This club deserves better.
GLAZERS OUT.

We have today submitted a formal complaint to @IpsoNews regarding the @Telegraph article questioning why @ManUtd has a Muslim supporters’ club. Our complaint raises concerns under Accuracy and Discrimination, including misleading framing and the singling out and ridicule of Muslim supporters and our faith. We will await IPSO’s response.
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Premier League confirm an independent Commission has found Manchester City GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation.
The club has the right to appeal the independent Commission’s findings and has until Friday 2 October to exercise that right.
The Premier League Board’s intention is that the full process (including any appeals and publication of relevant decisions) is concluded as soon as possible.
The independent Commission found that between Seasons 2009/10 and 2017/18:
- Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ contracts (which misrepresented the true agreement between the parties) with a number of its commercial partners, as well as relying on ‘sham’ agreements with others, to artificially inflate the club’s revenues and reduce its costs
- The club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators
- Manchester City was significantly in breach of both the Premier League’s and UEFA’s spending limits
- During the Premier League’s investigation, Manchester City committed multiple breaches of its duties of co-operation and utmost good faith towards the League (three of the four alleged breaches were upheld)
Faith-based supporters’ groups create community and spaces where fans can enjoy football without leaving part of who they are at the turnstile.
At a time of rising Islamophobia, questioning why these groups exist risks undermining the communities football should be working to include. 💚
United has 362 official supporters’ clubs across 95 countries. Jewish fans, Sikh fans, women, disabled fans and Muslim fans have their own groups. United even tells you how to start one.
Nobody’s stopping you. Funny how it’s the Muslim club that suddenly needs explaining.
He says he can’t see the link between Islam and football, then uses a football column to mock Islam.
Congratulations to the Telegraph on becoming the Muslim supporters’ club’s best recruitment advert. @Telegraph
@MThreadingham@rontheoneonly@BasilTheGreat You’ve gone from football to blaming 2 billion Muslims because a supporters’ club exists. That’s not a “broader point”, that’s just a tantrum with clown emojis. Try again.
@Actress_Gaaji@RupertLowe10 You saw ‘Muslim’ and immediately reached for rape gangs. That’s prejudice, not an argument. You’ve embarrassed yourself enough. Move on.
@rontheoneonly@BasilTheGreat 362 official United supporters’ clubs across 95 countries, including a Jewish Supporters’ Club. Christians or atheists want one? They can form one too. You came looking for a gotcha and somehow got mugged off by information that was one Google search away 😂
@mum_sc@asif_jmahmud This wasn’t reactionary. The concerns were already there. This is about the direction of Manchester United and confidence in those running it. Supporters deserve better. #MUFC
Those that are accusing us of politicising the comments by Sir Jim - as early as Monday last week our chairman @asif_jmahmud reached out to a few fan groups about issuing a joint statement of no confidence. This wasn't about us, it was about all of us doing it collectively.
@BBCNews Another day, another Manchester United owner making headlines for everything except improving Manchester United. Fans deserve better than this constant circus. #MUFC
@mum_sc@The__1958@NathSalt1@ChrisWheelerDM@MENnewsdesk Manchester United should always be a club that brings its supporters together. The badge is bigger than any owner, and the people running the club should never become bigger than the club itself. United deserves better. #MUFC#MUMSC
