Tyreek Hill defends NBA and NFL players against Noah Lyles and calls him out for pretending to be sick
“I would beat Noah Lyles (in a race).”

Genuinely embarrassing performance by Team USA men’s 4x100m. Our middle school team does cleaner handoffs than that. 4 more years without an Olympic relay title for the country with the most world/olympic sprint medals for the last decade. What a disaster
All the credit in the world to @NBCOlympics for an unbelievable production here. The camera work and announcing truly does justice to how exciting this moment was
After years of near misses, the Triton girls finally won the Massachusetts Middle School State Championship this spring.

“I lose money in this sport. I don’t gain money.”
Eric Holt speaks out about the struggles of being an unsponsored track athlete
He is the fifth-fastest American man in the 1500m this year. He just took the 2022 1500m world champion to the finish line at the NYC Grand Prix. No sponsor has come forward for him since he burst onto the scene in 2021 and he has a chance of breaking through to make the U.S. Olympic team in a few weeks.
• Trains in NY and is supported by his club Empire Elite (which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization)
• Buys his own apparel/shoes/spikes | “I have to pay for all my own shoes. All my own physio. I have to pay for everything.”
• Worked a job at a psychiatric center before leaving to dedicate himself to making the past few Worlds/Olympic teams.
• Lives with his parents | “My dad is in his 70s so even though I used to be embarrassed by it. I know I get to spend time with my dad in his older ages.
• Has a supportive girlfriend | “When we go out, she pays for every single meal. I told her when I get sponsored, I’ll pay for the meals this time.”
This man is betting on himself. If you’re looking for another athlete to root for before the U.S. Olympic Trials, Eric Holt is chasing a dream. ⤵️

@CoachHightower2 We had a 17:30 5k boy run FAT 11.2, 22.8, 49.9, and triple jump 44’3 last year. Our school record holder in the girls 100m (12.11) who went on to be a D2 All American in the 100/200/400 also ran xc.
High school athletes are versatile and adaptable to a lot
NAU had an XC team with guys who would run
7:37/12:57
7:36/13:13
3:58/13:16
3:53/13:42
3:58/ 13:42
+ 2 returning Top 25 finishers from the year before
…and lost by 22 points to OK State

🚨ONCE AGAIN🚨
ONE SPORT A SEASON
ONE TEAM A SEASON
PARENTS please realize your athlete’s body (especially at the HS level) won’t handle that wear and tear for long
And athletes are just halfway in for both teams they are on
Choose one team/sport and commit for that season!
Worked all summer coaching football players on speed - building acceleration, movement patterns, and general athleticism.
6 weeks in and the only two varsity track guys on the team suffered severe contact injuries and will be out for extended time.
Time for a new summer hobby
@CoachDJBrock I think absolutely at the meet of champions. We run a coed 4x4 at our home invitational and it’s the most anticipated event of the year. All it would take is 3-4 other invites to offer opportunities to qualify and it could be added to the MoC easily
