The single biggest reason I coach is because Coach Bell poured into me as a lifetime JV runner. He called tonight after exchanging texts yesterday and today. He is a great mentor and role model for working with teenagers!

Every year, the NFHS honors outstanding officials from each state in their respective sports. This year’s recipient in Girls’ Cross Country is Tim Bell of Marshalltown. Tim has dedicated more than three decades to the sport of cross country, first as a coach and later as an official.
