Sky's @LisaSkyNews looks at the failures and lessons that have been learnt from the Nottingham Inquiry into the June 2023 attacks.
Valdo Calocane killed University of Nottingham students Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, both 19, as well as 65-year-old caretaker Ian Coates, and attempted to kill three more people in the June 2023 attacks.
This "apology" by the family of Vickrum Digwa, who murdered Henry Nowak, is something else. Vickrum's family lied to the police, accused Henry of "racism" while he was dying and tried to cover up the killing. In their "apology" they say:
> "We love the killer"
> "We wish their paths of Henry and Vickrum hadn't crossed" (as if Henry's death was caused by coincidence; Vickrum bears no responsibility)
> "We apologise to the Sikh community" (desperately trying to fix their own reputation in their community)
> "We ask that this tragedy is not used to inflame division or hostility" (Sorry, but I think the part that inflamed division and hostility was when your son murdered an 18-year-old white boy, then you accused him of racism because you knew the police would treat you as the victims, and then you tried to cover it up while you watch him bleed to death in front of you)
> "We now ask for privacy" (oh, I bet you do. You're not a princess who's just had a baby. You're scumbags who just killed a boy and smeared his name.)
Much talk about investigations carried out by Hospital Trusts and @NHSEngland following a mental health homicide.
Here is one deemed ‘appropriate’ to share recently with the grieving family of the deceased.
It is shameful, disrespectful and inhumane.
This report is one of many.
It relates to a killing that happened AFTER ours.
We forced NHSE to release Calocane’s report publicly in full, and un redacted.
To get that it took us preparing to break the law and go against our forced NDA.
It shouldn’t be this way.
Victim’s are not the enemy here….

@hundredfamilies
After killing two students but crucially before stabbing 3rd victim, Valdo Calocane called his brother.
Told him to leave country, not to visit him in hospital, that he'd done something stupid.
Elias Calocane checked Twitter for news, but didn't call 999. Why not?
Disgusting and embarrassing behaviour from Elias Calocane, your brother brutally murdered my innocent father and this is how you conduct yourself?

🚨JUST IN: Elias Calocane, the brother of Nottingham killer Valdo Calocane, has accused the families of the victims of giving instructions to their KC to "bully him and his family."
He made the unfounded comments during an outburst in the Nottingham Attacks inquiry today.
@SocialRW And their reasoning was that they didn't want to upset him and make him angry, they knew the other students wouldn't kick up a fuss so they kicked them all out instead
@Giniesta10 We need a world class keeper to bring stability to the defence (who also need recruitment) and then a full turnover of wingers and forward players before we even kick a pre season ball
My dad would still be alive today if these mental health staff did their jobs and their due diligence. The people of Nottingham have no hope for the future with these people in charge #NottinghamInquiry
'Today was a watershed moment.'
Dr Sanjoy Kumar and David Webber, fathers of Nottingham attack victims, reveal how they were 'vindicated' today by a care coordinator at the inquiry into the failings that lead to the deaths of their children.
