I just watched a video from @sumfattytuna and it's honestly a study in how much crypto has changed. Crypto has stopped being faceless.
For most of its history, crypto was built on a simple idea: nobody needs to know who you are. You had a wallet address, maybe a screen name, and that was it. Nobody knew what you bought, what you sold, what you made or what you lost. You could win big in silence and lose big in silence. The anonymity wasn't a side effect. It was the whole culture.
That made sense for a long time. Privacy felt like protection. If nobody could see your moves, nobody could judge them, copy them, or come after you for them. The best traders were ghosts, and part of the mystique was that you never really knew who was behind the biggest wins.
fomo flipped that on its head.
On fomo, the top of the leaderboard isn't a random string of letters and numbers. It's a real person with a face, a name and a track record anyone can check. And once a trader has a strong PnL, something powerful starts to happen. A flywheel kicks in.
It works like this. A good trader buys a coin. Because their PnL is public and their wins are visible, people trust their judgement, so they copytrade the move. All that copied buying adds volume and pushes the price up. The trader, who got in first, is now sitting in profit. That profit shows up on their PnL, which makes their record look even stronger. A stronger record pulls in more followers. More followers means the next coin they buy gets copied by even more people, which pushes that price up too, which puts them in profit again.
Good trades bring followers. Followers bring volume. Volume brings profit. Profit brings more followers. Every turn of the wheel makes the next one spin faster.
This is something the old anonymous version of crypto could never produce. A hidden wallet can make great trades, but it can't build momentum around itself, because nobody is watching. On fomo, performance becomes reputation, and reputation becomes a kind of market power. The best traders don't just make money from being right. They make money from being trusted.
What this really changes is what counts as credibility. In the old days, anyone could claim to be a genius trader in a group chat and nobody could check. Screenshots could be faked, stories could be exaggerated, and the loudest voice often won. Now the trades are visible. The history is right there. You don't have to take anyone's word for it, because the receipts speak for themselves.
That's a big shift in culture. The flex used to be staying hidden. Now the flex is being seen, and being right in public.
Of course, receipts cut both ways. When your wins are visible, so are your losses. Traders who build a following have to live with every call they make, good or bad, in front of everyone. And the flywheel rewards the people who start it, not always the people who join it late. The trader who buys first captures the move, while followers who pile in after the price has already climbed are taking on more risk. Seeing someone buy a coin isn't the same as understanding why they bought it. The smartest users treat a leaderboard as a place to learn and study, not a button to copy without thinking.
But that's exactly what makes this moment interesting. Crypto is growing up from a world of hidden wallets into something more social, more transparent and more accountable. Reputation is becoming something you earn trade by trade, in the open, where everyone can check your work.
Crypto used to reward the people nobody could see. Now it rewards the people everyone can.
did @QFEX really say come trade on our venue, if you lose we might give it back?
they just launched LOSSBACK, a loss refunds program
and i actually think the mechanics behind this are pretty smart.
get new users to sign up and trade enough to understand the product, then they stand a chance to get back their losses.
they’re basically trying to subsidize the first thing that comes to mind when you think of trading perps - realized losses.
so every week, new users who:
• created their account on or after Sep 21
• connect X + complete verification
• deposit at least $100
• execute >$100k in notional TAKER volume
• finish the week with a realized loss
enter the LossBack pool.
then every following monday, 20% of eligible losing traders are randomly selected and are refunded 100% of their realized weekly loss, up to $2,000.
refund gets credited directly to your account.
obviously a smart move from an onboarding point of view, and pretty aligned with the founder’s recent take on rewarding actual user activity instead of just signups or headline volume.
You useless fucks, the no. 1 trader on fomo apes a coin that you're in and all you and your bitch friends do is sell
This is why we can't be rich. Because of idiots like you hitting the red button instead of letting this whale 🐳 bring us out the hood.
Literally the most motion Onchain rn, best possible person to have in a coin, when he buys the ceiling INCREASES 10 FOLD. ARE YOU GUYS NOT STUDYING HIS PNL ONCHAIN.
Yet your BOTTOM SCRAPER mindset got you selling right on cue.
You guys are spiritually poor and will never be great.
Feels bad man.
I've said this bro being poor isn't about money, it's mostly about not being a big fat stupid pussy bitch.
Which is what you are, stop selling you retarded fuck. Trying to help you.
In the lab.
Just gonna go ahead and self appoint myself as the leader of the Raydium Corps Paw Patrol from this point forward.
Battle station activated, creatine and caffeine locked and loaded.
Add 🐾🪖 to your name if you're serious. It's time to move on the offensive.

.. @legendtrade traders cooked this week.
and @quantgz has been on a perfect run since yesterday.
keeps switching position direction and max bidding each time, somehow right before the move happens.
he’s up $173k in the last 24hrs, and currently holding a $6.3m size position on ETH and BTC
meanwhile, ignore my pnl btw, i was busy getting liquidated yesterday 🤣
cancelled out all my profits 🤦🏾♂️
i literally can’t believe this is happening.
a group of peeps hating on a bro for calling out a bad team that rugged some projects in the past,
basically cos they’d already given their funds to the team via mints before the callout and now need to recover them, or am i missing something here?
cos honestly, if that’s the case, it’s a misplaced target imo.
and we’re all just being hypocrites.
