Hutch CONFIDENTLY ASSERTS that Abdul El-Sayed did in fact have a recent shift in his support of Medicare for All to an M4A plan that would allow people to opt out of the government plan in preference for private insurance.
He then asks Claude for citations of this supposed shift to bolster his assertion.
Claude: [AES] was talking about keeping private coverage IN ADDITION to Medicare, NOT instead of it.
Hutch then PIVOTS to: It is difficult to imagine passing that policy in America in my lifetime.
‼️ Neera Tanden is completely oblivious to her own behavior and words. She's ignoring her own behavior of aligning with the Republicans, which they're weaponizing against the Democrats, and projecting it onto @hasanthehun. She also repeated the rumor that Abdul El-Sayed told him to "tamp down", something Hasan himself confirmed is a lie.
Neera: You and I probably disagree on Hasan Piker. I think the things he has said are both morally wrong and strategically terrible. They are morally wrong because I think it's terrible to attack anyone the way he does, but also his attacks would be weaponized by the right. Which is what I said last spring.
@SamSeder: It's possible you may not understand what you're doing, with all due respect. If I, after Barack Obama wins the primary, and I go out there and I say I want Barack Obama to win, but let's talk about Reverend Wright. I'm not the only person who noticed this.
In 2021, @neeratanden was asked to withdraw her nomination to lead the OMB due to her vicious tweets, specifically against progressive members of the Democratic party. She apologized and expressed remorse for her actions. But five years later, she’s doing it again.
Neera has retweeted two right wing extremists, Laura Loomer and Nick Fuentes, and has only ever attacked @hasanthehun, someone who is actively working with Democratic candidates to help them win. And she’s pretending like she doesn’t understand the connection.
This debate proved what we already knew. That the Democratic consultant class will prioritize defeating their left flank, members of their own party, through Hasan Piker, over defeating MAGA. Even if it means aligning with Republicans to do so.
I’M OFFICIALLY A GEARS OF WAR FAN. 🐐
@nxtgen8k@JayDubcity16@XBOXTIMDOG@XBOX@asha_shar
Gears of War: E-Day is my FIRST Gears game… and I did not expect to fall in love with this franchise this fast. 😭🎮
The story.
The lore.
Marcus & Dom.
The Locust.
The brutal combat.
The atmosphere. I’m HOOKED.
I went into E-Day as a newcomer…
I’m coming out wanting to learn EVERYTHING about Gears of War.
The Coalition 🔥🐐
There is a legitimate argument that can be made for Gears of War: E-Day being the best video game to release this year.
I can hardly believe it either.
Mehdi Hasan asks Neera Tanden about Haley Stevens saying "Israel comes to me in my dreams" and presses her on AIPAC
Mehdi Hasan asks Neera Tanden about Haley Stevens saying "Israel comes to me in my dreams" and presses her on AIPAC
Mehdi: Outside of Donald Trump, Haley Stevens said perhaps the most insane thing I've ever heard any politician say in recent years.
Neera: In her defense, she said it within weeks of October 7th, which is different.
Mehdi: American politicians talk about Israel in a way we don't talk about other countries. I've never heard any politician say Belgium comes to me in my dreams.
Neera: I've heard a politician say Ireland comes to them in their dreams and his name was Joe Biden.
Mehdi: With respect, Joe Biden is Irish.
Are you disputing the wider point I'm making, which is American politicians do weird, ridiculous, performative things when it comes to Israel like they do for no other country?
Neera: I think that's right and I think the relationship with Israel should change in the future.
