@Headteacherchat We used to stay after the nativity performance, the school would buy fish and chips and we’d have a quiz. Was great fun and people stayed as they’d already come back to help at the performance.
@Headteacherchat I had this when I started my first headship about 10 years ago. I raised it at my first head teachers performance management and it was rectified. As a head it is only fair there is a decent gap as you have the overall responsibility for everything !
@SA1903_ Was the same in Inverness airport last week. I was like £4.19??? I don’t want it! Got some water in the one other shop for £1.20! The Pepsi at Luton airport in boots was £2.30 a few days before!
@londonteacher_ I went there when it was called Westminster college, graduated in 1997! Been teaching ever since! Had no aspirations to go beyond a class teacher, but have been a head for the last 10 years! So many happy memories from my days at Westie!
@Emma_Turner75 Totally agree. I’ve worked with young children for more than 25 years and am currently a nursery headteacher. We have so many children saying no to us… but interestingly they soon learn that there are boundaries and most follow them quickly!
@EmmaDee77 I think it will work ok in the best quality settings, I am head of an outstanding nursery school and we could train some staff well, but I worry it’s just a cheap/quick way of getting people into childcare.
@poppygibsonuk My husband has a mug he only uses on a Sunday. It’s his favourite mug but he saves it for a Sunday treat! My daughter has a mug sort out and threw it away! Luckily we retrieved it from the bin!
@IdiotsPunisher@CollinRugg I don’t like to judge but also saw an interview with her on British tv this morning and thought she was very well put together and calm considering. Maybe she’s still in shock and not processing it. A very sad situation whatever the full story is.
@StephLunch@thismorning Thank you for sharing this. I had similar problems when I was about the same age. It is so embarrassing and then makes you stress it will happen again. Luckily at 50 I haven’t had heavy periods for a year or so.
@RogersHistory As a head teacher and someone who’s worked in education for 25 years, it is so worrying. The system needs a complete overhaul. I am currently working nursery education which is a dream compared to primary.
