This is heartbreaking and absolutely infuriating. 💔

After more than SIX YEARS of tirelessly supporting Jungkook, an incredible fanbase is closing its doors after facing attacks for doing something every decent human being should do: standing up against threats of violence toward Taehyung and asking others to help protect him.

Her humanity was attacked. Her loyalty to Jungkook was questioned. All because she refused to stay silent when another member of BTS was being threatened.

WHAT ARE WE EVEN DOING?!

How have we allowed such vile, toxic behavior to infiltrate spaces created to celebrate and support the artists we love? Since when did showing basic human decency become grounds for questioning someone’s loyalty as a fan?

Protecting Taehyung is NOT betraying Jungkook. Supporting Jungkook does NOT require abandoning Taehyung.

A woman in Busan was running an abandoned dog shelter alone. Then boxes started arriving with no name on them.

No sponsors. No donors. A structure so flimsy that heavy rain and typhoons brought it down on top of the dogs.

In February 2022 someone who had read a blog post about the shelter got in touch. The kennels were rebuilt — new flooring, new caging, blankets, roofs that would hold. That summer a typhoon came through and every dog came out of it fine.

The deliveries kept coming after April 2023, when the donor reported for military service. The shelter was not allowed to say who he was until September 2023.

"I was stunned to find out that the donor was BTS' J-Hope. I couldn't mention it until now because he didn't want it to be known."
