The ultimate goal is to have everyone become proficient readers, but we know this is not always the case, and there are adaptations for students & adults who have dyslexia. I wanted to share this great app called Immersive reader & office lens app by @MicrosoftEDU@Microsoft
Future smash hits à la Ozark and Yellowstone may be one step closer to getting filmed in Missouri as both the Show MO Act and Entertainment Industry Jobs Act, tax credit programs for film productions and concerts, were approved by the Senate on Tuesday.

We have so many students struggling to read. I see daily how being unable to read proficiently impacts my son in all aspects, and he is 12. We need to look at the science of reading, this body of research and train teachers so they can align their instruction with this research.
Literacy is a matter of life or death. Of hope or despair. Of knowing your self worth or feeling you are worth nothing. No child and no adult should have to despair because they can’t read!! Reading is a fundamental human right!! #LiteracyandJusticeforAll
God has wired you uniquely for a distinct purpose. He's graced you with gifts to offer to a world in need. He's writing a story with your life, and it fits you perfectly. Not every battle is yours to fight, and not every wrong is yours to right.
I'm about 12-18 hours away from wondering IF someone in the viewing area (NW MO and NE KS I'm looking at you) can see a wet snowflake or two Saturday morning. JL. Atmospheric dynamics can do some interesting things now. JL #mowx#kswx
This is a remarkable story I did not know.
Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King
paid the hospital bill for Julia Roberts birth.
Her parents were friends with MLK+Coretta.
She shares the story with @GayleKing and I am sharing it from @ZaraRahim.
Common Instructional Practices NOT aligned with the science of reading.
Check out @TX_Reads there are a lot of fantastic free resources

@ClassHumphreys I agree with this. Something is very wrong with the SEL part of our job and the disconnect is palpable in every single one of my classes. It's pretty tiring. I still love it, but it is harder than it's ever been to teach kids.
