Anyone interested in meeting young public policy folks who are about to start their career? An informal gathering in Sunder Nursery or Deer Park. Just like this post and we will make it happen.
Shark Tank nights are a tradition with my grandchildren - they never miss an episode. So, when they found out that I know some of the Sharks, their first question was, 'Can we meet them?'
Recently, I had the chance to make that happen. Watching their excitement as they stepped onto the set, met the Sharks, and saw the filming in action were moments to cherish. The energy in the room—the pitches, the problem-solving, the conversations—was infectious, even for me.
As a grandfather, these are the moments that matter. Exposing young minds to experiences that inspire curiosity and broaden their horizons is the best way to plant seeds for the future.
Sometimes, all it takes is a spark—an idea, a conversation, or a moment—to show them that the world is full of possibilities waiting to be explored.

My two year old nephew just absolutely roasted my ass. Got on a FaceTime with him and he showed me his trains and then he asked “where are yours?” and I had to admit that I own zero trains. Fucking humiliating.
