You can't squash the religious impulse. If you remove God, it will just manifest in other ways.

In secular religion, there is abundant guilt and atonement, but little love and forgiveness. The rituals of atonement are harsh, sometimes to the point of death. Mercy? You deserve no mercy. The Earth will not take the punishment for your sins as Christ did. You will. You are the sacrifice for the sins of humankind.

If you don't know what this is about: France has already recorded 1,000 excess deaths due to the recent record-breaking heat wave. The use of AC has been politicized in Europe to the point that that most everyone, including vulnerable people, are discouraged from using it even as conditions become intolerable. Why? Because of carbon emissions. Even as China releases 2x more emissions than the entire EU, the EU must sacrifice. You can't convince me this isn't pagan religion without the supernatural.

🇺🇸 THE SUPREME COURT RULED AGAINST US TODAY. CONGRESS CAN STILL FIX THIS!

Before you throw your phone across the room, hear me out.

Yes, Barrett and Roberts sided with the liberals today. Yes, it is a gut punch. Yes, Alito's dissent is going to age like fine wine while this majority opinion ages like milk.

We covered all of that.

But this fight is not over. Not even close.

Here is what the majority opinion actually did, whether they intended to or not. They handed us a roadmap.

The Court ruled the way they did because the current federal election statutes are silent on when mail-in ballots must be RECEIVED. They only govern when elections must be HELD. The majority found that gap in the law and drove straight through it.

Congress can close that gap tomorrow!

This is not wishful thinking. This is constitutional bedrock. Article One of the Constitution gives Congress explicit authority to override state election rules for federal elections. They have done it before. In 1845 fraud was rampant because states held elections on different days and voters were crossing state lines casting multiple ballots. Congress stepped in and mandated a single uniform Election Day and that was the end of it.

One law fixed it then. One law can fix it now.

All Congress needs to do is pass legislation stating clearly that mail-in ballots in federal elections must be RECEIVED by Election Day, not merely postmarked. That is it. That closes the loophole the Court just created. The majority opinion even pointed toward this solution directly, essentially telling us that if the American people want this rule, go get it through your elected representatives.

So that is exactly what we are going to do.

This is where your energy belongs right now. Not in despair. Not in rage. In action. The midterms are coming and every single House seat matters. Every Senate seat matters. We have already primaried out a number of RINOs this cycle and the new Congress is going to look different from this one.

A bigger majority changes everything.

With enough seats we pass the legislation. We close the loophole. We establish once and for all that Election Day means what every honest American knows it means. The day you vote is the day your ballot had better be in the hands of election officials. Full stop.

The left thinks today's ruling ends this fight. It does not end anything. It clarifies the battlefield and points us directly at the next objective.

Roberts and Barrett may have failed us today. But the Founders did not. They built a system with a remedy for exactly this kind of moment. That remedy is Congress and Congress answers to us.

Stay in the fight. The next move is ours.

Like many others, I have been alarmed by the success of certain politicians in our country who identify as extreme socialists or communists.

This is not a matter of classical liberals triumphing over standard-issue conservatives; this is the victory of people who stand athwart the fundamental principles that undergird our country.

There are many reasons why I detest Communism, but I want to draw attention to just one issue of supreme importance.

Karl Marx said that the first critique is the critique of religion. He meant that, before a complete re-working of the politics and economics of a society can take place, religion has to be taken down.

This is because religion, as he saw it, is the “opium of the masses,” a drug taken to dull our sensitivity to the suffering caused by economic exploitation. As long as the suffering populace is lured into complacency by fantasies about God's providence and the promise of eternal life, they will never rise up and throw off their chains.

But there is a second reason why the elimination of religion is of paramount significance for Marx.

Communism aspires to be a totalizing system, involving the government's control over education, entertainment, communication, politics, and especially economics.

What stands resolutely athwart this ambition is religion, which declares that all of these societal expressions are finally under the judgment of God. So, if you want Communism to succeed, religion has to be stamped out.

If you doubt me on any of this, I would encourage you to read the recent histories of China, Russia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Venezuela. Revisit those histories and tell me I'm wrong about the attack on religion.

Might I encourage my fellow believers in God not to be complacent in the face of this very troubling development in the American body politic?

Recently, a fairly prominent editor of a “Catholic” publication decided to project publicly his disdain for the St. Michael prayer. It light of that and since it is now fair game, I will equally tell you my own disdain for the worthless drivel he espoused in that post🇻🇦

In 1949, a 13-year-old Lutheran boy started hearing devils scratching inside the walls of his house.

Three months later, St. Michael the Archangel spoke through his mouth and cast the demons into hell.

This is the true story that inspired The Exorcist. And almost none of it made the movie.

It started with a Ouija board.

His aunt was deep into séances and the occult. She taught him to use it. Then she died. And whatever answered through that board did not leave with her.

The scratching turned into pounding. Then words began appearing on the boy's skin, clawed in from the inside. HELL. EVIL. SPITE.

His parents called a spiritualist. Then two Lutheran pastors. Nothing worked. It only got worse.

As a last resort, they called a Catholic priest: Fr. William Bowdern, a WWII combat veteran turned Jesuit. He watched the boy himself. He was convinced. His archbishop granted permission for the full Rite of Exorcism.

That's when the real war began.

The boy became so violent it took five grown men to hold him down. He recoiled from holy water like it burned. He screamed in Latin, a language he had never learned. A six-inch image of the devil appeared in red on his leg. And he knew things no child could possibly know.

A priest named Fr. Raymond Bishop kept a daily diary of all of it. That diary is why this is one of the most documented exorcisms in history. Decades later, a man named William Peter Blatty read about the case and wrote The Exorcist.

But Hollywood left out the ending.

For weeks the priests fought. Some were losing hope. Then, on Easter Monday, a voice that was not the boy's roared out of him:

"Satan! Satan! I am St. Michael! I command you and the other evil spirits to leave this body, in the name of Dominus. Now. Now. NOW!"

The boy later described what he saw.

A blinding white light. A man in robes like scales, his hair moving in a wind no one else could feel. A fiery sword in his right hand. His left hand pointing down, to a pit of fire where the devil stood.

The devil fought. He resisted. Until St. Michael spoke one word: Dominus. The Lord.

At that, the demons were driven out screaming. The boy went still and said, "He's gone."

It was over. He was never tormented again.

And here's the part the movie would never tell you.

After it ended, the boy was received into the Catholic Church, and his family was won over too. A demon sent to devour one soul handed it straight to Christ instead. He even named his son Michael.

Michael's name is not a title. It's a question which means: "Who is like unto God?"

Lucifer said, "I will be like God." Michael answered with one act of humility, and that humility is what casts pride into hell. It's what he did at the dawn of time. It's what he still does today.

Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more.

God permits evil for one reason: to draw a greater good out of it. That boy's possession may be the only reason he and his family ever met Christ. The enemy overplayed his hand. He always does.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

The boy was meant to be destroyed. Instead he was delivered, and his whole family with him. That's how God works.
