ICYMI: A honking toff speaks:
"With the greatest of respect to Grimsby Town fans, I don't think even Grimsby Town fans would claim that in national sporting terms they're on a level with Wigan Warriors." #gtfc
In Wednesday's BOTB diary: Town put in place by Wigan; Gordon goes native; Scholes kicks train set; the players are on holiday.

Tony Reeson, inventor of the back-heel and the moustache. Both would later be perfected at #gtfc by his son, Tony Reesonson who adopted the name Rees for practical reasons.

Ev has been brilliant for us. For a time in 2024-25 he was the first name on the team sheet. Injury derailed him this season but it's mad he's still only 23. No one has a crystal ball but he is likely to get better and better. It's a shame that won't be with us.
@Placebob2@VinceFeath59623 If you look back you'll see we didn't say that or anything like that. We put out a nice positive article about #gtfc and the town and you've turned up to have a pop.
In Tuesday's Newbegin Diary: Grimsby Town Football Club, four words which speak volumes; let's get that wheelchair viewing area built. Diary: https://t.co/Ni3w2fY8hb ; Crowdfunder page: https://t.co/t03q4mM3Ru #gtfc
@jaseives@jaseharvey2 Have you seen this one? Greavesie was ill and his Spitting Image puppet stood in for him, voiced by Peter Brackley https://t.co/T7qgiGB5Xy
@jaseharvey2@onthisGTFCday@djhistory, think we could extract the audio at a quality @officialgtfc could pump out at BP as the players walk out? Goosebumps singing along with our dads and mums, grandparents, and at the right speed. It's heard on all the early 1980s recordings
@_Dandall Not a lot happening mate.
ST now at 8k.
New ground being built
DA is going
JK being sold for £10m.
Club's putting on an all-you-can-drink free bar in Slovenia for anyone who follows the pre-season tour.
All fans welcome.
Other than that, it's fairly quiet !
@codalmighty I must admit, I thought the 36K would have been raised by now. If our average gate chipped in with a fiver we would be well on our way to cover the cost. What happened to "all town aren't we"?
@codalmighty Re the disabled fund raiser folk should know that you don't have to stump up a ton straight away - I put a few quid in and then signed up to pay a fiver a month. So that's another way to get involved. However you do it, everyone can contribute to the cause.
