Today is International Workers Day and what type of country has this become for the working person?

100,000 Irish workers are living in poverty, crippled with rents and mortgages, high car insurance and the other rising costs of living while wages are stagnant.

I found this image on Facebook today posted by one of my neighbours. What it says for rural Ireland and small farmers is not good. The picture shows a piece of beef priced at €24.90 per kilo. The Irish farmer who produced this beef received no more than €3.80 per kilo.
