I build web apps, dashboards & AI automation for ops-heavy teams. Shipped: construction project-control, fleet logistics, AI medical scribe. Cairo. DMs open.
Most teams I talk to don't have a software problem. They have a spreadsheet pretending to be one.
I've built construction project-control software, fleet and shipment tracking, and an AI medical scribe. The pattern is always the same: decisions get made, then lost in chat and sheets.
If one workflow in your team should already be software, reply with it. I'll tell you how I'd build it. No pitch.

Google's Gemini 4 Argon is out at intro pricing: $2 per million input tokens, $10 per million output, cached input down to $0.10. On Dec 1 that doubles to $4/$20. For anyone pricing AI automation for small clients, the number that matters is cached input: at $0.10 per million, re-reading the same client documents is close to free. That changes what a monthly retainer can include. #buildinpublic
DeepSeek open-sourced V4.1-Flash: a 552B-parameter multimodal MoE with a 1M-token context. The trick is KV cache compression: 890 bytes per token, about a quarter of the previous Flash, and only 8B parameters active per token on prefill. For solo builders, long client document sets in one pass just got much cheaper. Testing it on a real automation workflow this week. #buildinpublic
Honest numbers: my first poll got 0 votes. At 86 followers, a poll is not demand validation. The useful signal this week came from direct conversations with accountants, not from posting. Polls can wait. Talking to buyers cannot. #buildinpublic
Honest numbers, week two:
84 followers. My last four posts have 10-70 views each.
Reach here is small. I'm using X to share what I learn, not treating views as proof that anyone will pay for a product.

My shortlist rule for a solo-built product:
1. Recurring revenue
2. A buyer who pays for a boring problem
3. Small enough to ship alone
4. Reachable without a big following
I'm checking first-person pain before choosing what to build.

UAE e-invoicing dates, as I read the Ministry of Finance rules:
Revenue AED 50M or more: appoint a service provider by 30 October 2026, live 1 January 2027.
Under AED 50M: appoint by 31 March 2027, live 1 July 2027.
I'm a developer, not a tax adviser. Check the MoF site for your own situation.

Why I'm not picking a product from vendor marketing:
When I searched X for people with document-chasing or compliance-tracking problems, most results were software vendors, not practitioners.
First-person complaints are the evidence I want. Vendor posts are a different thing.

What I'm doing differently after week one:
Posting what I learn, not asking strangers questions.
Reading Reddit threads where accountants, landlords and small business owners describe their own problems, in their own words.
More signal there than here so far.

I asked which market to research first. Final count: 0 votes.
Too few votes to read anything into, so I'm choosing from the evidence instead. I've started reading what practitioners say on Reddit.

Week one of building in public, honest numbers.
80 followers. My posts get roughly 15 to 25 views each. The poll got 1 vote.
So I'm not going to ask strangers questions here and wait. I'll post what I learn while picking my next product, and look for buyers elsewhere.

Large UAE businesses have until 30 October to appoint an e-invoicing service provider (UAE Ministry of Finance).
If you are an accountant in the UAE:
What are your clients asking you right now?

How to stop chasing clients for documents:
1. Send one checklist, not many emails
2. Give one place to upload
3. Set one due date
4. Remind automatically at day 3 and day 7
The chase is a process problem as much as a people problem.

Landlords and letting agents in the UK:
How do you track when gas safety certificates, EICRs and EPCs expire?
A) Spreadsheet
B) Calendar reminders
C) Software
D) Memory and luck
Reply with yours.

Lesson from building Charti (AI scribe for Canadian doctors):
I assumed the hard part would be the AI. It's not.
The hard part is that every US scribe treats Canada as an edge case — different billing codes, different EMRs, data that legally has to stay in-country.
That gap is the whole product.
