You get one choice:
Become immortal, but continue aging forever
OR
Stay physically 20 forever, but live only an average human lifespan
What do you pick?
This would let users keep watching and browse recommendations at the same time → Much smoother experience overall.
@YouTube this would be a great addition.
Watching YouTube on desktop has a UX issue:
If I scroll to browse suggested videos, the main video disappears and comments take over.
I don’t want to stop watching — I just want to explore recommendations.
(See images 👇)
This would reduce friction a lot.
Right now:
• Users must turn on auto-rotate
• Rotate their device manually
• Then switch it off again
An in-player rotate option keeps the experience seamless and consistent — especially for longer videos.
X supports 16:9 videos (interviews, clips, etc.) but there’s no in-app rotate option in the video player.
You have to rely on system level auto-rotate to watch the video in landscape.
A simple rotate/fullscreen toggle would make this much smoother.

@rasmalai once the charging is at 100% – the laptop runs off of the power from the socket directly (when plugged in), just like how a PC runs directly from the power source, I guess it saves battery life as there will be a lower number of charging and discharging cycles.
@joshwoodward@GeminiApp Please add a "Swipe to Open" gesture for the sidebar on mobile apps (gemini android, ios and web app for mobile)
Having to stretch my thumb to the top-left corner just to access history is ergonomically difficult and annoying.
This seems like the perfect "win-win" compromise.
I’m curious — would a gesture-based shortcut solve this for you ? Or is there a better way to balance this interface ?
My Proposal: Implement a Long-Press gesture on the video player to trigger a context menu that has an option to save the video.
This gives power users immediate access without cluttering the UI or de-prioritizing the discovery buttons YouTube needs to promote.
Wouldn't it be great if X added media carousels for images/videos/GIFs by default, plus an option to toggle between grid or carousel display
What do you all think ?
@nikitabier
@joshwoodward Never felt there was a need for this — anyway that’s great, but you could’ve just kept the account switcher there and added the button to its left. Now I have to start a new chat first just to switch accounts.
@carlovarrasi@GeminiApp Back in Oct, I detailed 3 critical chat management bugs in Gemini (videos included):
https://t.co/5Ih5V6lJ69
Bug 3 is especially urgent: Deleting a mid-chat prompt via Activity Log wipes all prior prompts (irreversible data loss). Any chance the team could prioritize this ?
Hey @GeminiApp, @joshwoodward, @OfficialLoganK, @patloeber and @ammaar, I've been doing a deep dive into Gemini's chat management and I've found 3 major bugs, including a critical data-loss bug.
I've recorded video demos for the team to show exactly what's happening.
Anyone else on Gemini web facing this since update?
The search icon no longer opens chat search — it instantly creates a new chat and then the button becomes greyed out & unclickable.
Tried cache clear, incognito, different browsers — still broken.
