4 common techniques:

1️⃣ Redaction: “John Doe, SSN 123-45-6789” → “[REDACTED], ***-**-****”
2️⃣ Generalization: Age 34, ZIP 90210 → Age 30-39, ZIP 902**
3️⃣ Randomization: Age 34 → 37 (noise); Salary swapped

Idempotency in data engineering - Running your ETL pipelines any number of times produces the exact same final data as running them once. The output stays consistent — no duplicates, no extra changes.

data classes, automatically generate and __eq__ Method that compares values field by field for the created instances.
By default regular classes compare memory addresses (== returns False for identical data)

One design pattern I keep seeing in data engineering:

Client Builders.

Instead of interacting directly with cloud storage or databases, we create a client that acts as an intermediate handshake layer.

• 📂 List files in storage
• 📁 Discover folders/partitions
