It's Friday 🎉
We’ve posted new content for you to watch 😍 Today’s topics include: JS bundlers, VS Code setup, advanced Git configuration, new TanStack features, and fun CSS effects.

Does anybody watch videos we recommend?
I feel like the list of recommendations is useless for a lot of you, they often touch a tiny exciting topic IMO but they might not be exciting for other folks, especially at the beginner levels.
I’m Senior Engineer and of course, watching tutorials for beginners will be boring for me and I don’t want to share videos I didn’t check with, as it’s a waste of time for you. On the other hand, posting something that Senior Engineers could benefit from is also kind of useless, as they’re often have some set of channels they follow or even more common, they read articles. It’s because filming about new exciting topic is harder than writing about it, so there’s a lot more knowledge outside YouTube 😏
That’s why I think this Friday will be the last week I post something and I’ll move to work on something else.
I failed with this project idea but let’s see if I could come up with something better 😄
Learning on X is hard, people compare incomparable things:
- React vs Next (library vs framework)
- Git vs GitHub (tool vs service)
- VSCode vs Cursor (they have different AI features, but please stop comparing them for just code writing, they’re the same)
What else? 😄
💡git worktree
If you have to switch between branches multiple times per day, instead of stashing or committing unfinished work, you could use worktree which allows you to work on multiple branches at the same time 🔥
If you’re not happy with results Cursor provides you, add https://t.co/sy5A08Swpt file to the root folder and provide instructions for it. It really helps save you tokens by telling upfront what to do and what not to do… And yes, you don’t have to scream at it on each request 😂
What do you think about this idea. Let’s say I set up virtual „company”, with GitHub repository of company, Slack or Discord to chat like you would with real co-workers and you all be working on the same codebase.
The idea is to find a couple of people who interested in building something and break something together. And the goal here is to learn how to work together. You will learn things like git merge conflicts, how to resolve them, why is it important to have a good sense of who’s working on what, how to split some work so you don’t overlap. You could in theory have real meetings together, learn from each other, gain an actual experience and add the project to your portfolio to help you find a real job.
I’m not doing anything right now but wondering if that sounds interesting and I’m open to suggestions on what the format could look like or what product we should build 😊
So, please. Forget about that goal of learning it for 7 days, just build something and learn new skills every single day, you’ll be much better over time 💛
There are so many things in just HTML and it’s constantly evolving. There’s no way someone learned it in 7 days. You’ll be always learning something new.
@Abiolaaaaaaa@Adityapandeydev@FrontendMasters It’s the best one for sure, I like how content is from top level Engineers who talk from experience and what you actually need to do the job, other than a boring tutorial with too many details you’ll forget in a week 😊
