I didn’t set out to write code every day for 100 days, but I guess I’ve done it anyway.
Bit of advice, add this widget to your home screen on your phone. The daily reminder was everything for me - looking forward to filling it. #100DaysOfCode
Swapped over my keyboard switches from Glorious Pandas to Sakuras… holy cow are these switches nice. Really light and a very nice sound. Happy with my change - for reference on a RamaWorks U-80 keyboard
What I really want is a bunch of memory in an M5 ultra or Max, that’ll be a meaningful boost for sure. We can only hope Apple has one in store soon, and the price is not removed from planet earth
Stupidly bought an M4 Max Mac Studio from the Apple refurb store with 36GB of memory. Not sure this will be able to move the needle forward for my local AI setup, but I guess we can test and see. I currently run an M1 Ultra, so not sure this is going to be an upgrade at all.
Am I the only one who watched @primeagen latest video on Token Maxing and thought, hm - token efficiency is something I care a lot about, maybe I could do some consulting to help people maximize their token efficiency 🤣. https://t.co/z23FpxVMFQ
Oh langchain is fun… can’t believe it’s taken me so long to play with it. Really does seem rather easy to get the thing going.
However, I wonder whether I’d be better off building agents from scratch or using langchain?
AI has significantly improved our productivity, at least when it comes to writing code, I think that much is clear. However, I'm not convinced that the benefits of Agentic software development are the golden ticket for everyone just yet. https://t.co/695YbIutWY
You’ve gotta feel sorry for Peter Sagan. When he was in his pomp, absolutely no one would work with him… feels wild that almost everyone but Jonas will work with Tadej. Perhaps Pogi is so good that everyone else is happy to ride for second place?
Given that the government already expects huge proportions of the students who take out student loans in the UK to not be able to pay their student loans in their working lives, are we effectively subsidizing institutions that don’t deliver value to students?
AI experts like @DarioAmodei have been predicting AI replacing developers completely in less than a year for what feels like a couple of years at this point. I guess if they all keep saying it, one day they’ll be right.
