@GergelyOrosz LLMs are just tools and you’re responsible for the output of your PRs. How you achieve an output, and to what level you uphold quality, is up to you. You and your team must understand what you’re shipping.
@ibarakoi@ArielKwiat It does produce slop. All the time. There are camps of people who believe it's all about how you prompt it, kind of like Facebook moms discussing soup recipes but with markdown files. The best use case for developers is as a research/grunt work tool that you then prune down.
@ibarakoi@ArielKwiat The belief that it can replace workers at tech companies has been a primary cited reason for layoffs in 2026. These laid off workers are now actively competing in the job market. It's the naive perception it can replace people that causes job insecurity.
@crispimmmmmm@LagWasReal You could get better at it, level it up. But I’m just saying that the parkour is way too fast and easy with no consequences in AC games today. I’d like it to be more strategic.
@TheHiddenOneAC Odyssey Resynced would be a terrible idea. There is no major graphics change or upgrade because the game is so recent. You would be repaying for the same game for minor visual upgrades and set a really bad precedent. Don’t give the normies making these business decisions ideas.
@anothercohen I deal with this everyday. Slop coding, jargon-ridden documentation, and referring to us as “bottlenecks” to reviewing. People SHOULD be the bottleneck. Use the tool but you own the output and if it takes us longer to read than you to generate then we’re not reading it.
@forgebitz AI lacks wisdom. At some point, things will run out of control and you’ll need a person who can fix it.
You also need engineers because at some point the non-technical people prompting can no longer track or understand what’s going on.
