The reason I am supporting this, isn't just because I've fallen for a character, its because I love stories. I've always found solace in reading so much so that I write my own, to me Valko's story is interwoven into MC's lore, it deserves to be told. #BringBackValko#ValkoIsLoved
China news outlet covering Love and Deepspace overseas fans effort in Valko's return ingame!
this is a long read but they manage to mentioned all the significant efforts by global fans like signed petitions, fund raising for wolf conservation & Anime expo Valko's display.
they also mentioned global expenditure was about 40% and 60% coming from China. so this implies that global market is an important organic component of Love and Deepspace's user base, revenue structure, and brand influence.
quote by them– whether Valko will be launched again still depends on the internal quality of the game, data metrics, and long-term planning assessments. however, the continuous growth of overseas player petitions has already provided a signal worth pondering: when a character can form signatures, fan work, public welfare, and offline actions across multiple countries and regions, conducting re-verification and product validation for it is not a simple compliance with public opinion. it could also be a necessary re-assessment of global user demands and existing content investments.
I miss him so much please bring him back everyday I tweet about him more than anything 😭😭 I WON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT HIM, WE WANT VALKO IN THE GAME! #ValkoIsLoved#ValkoIsInocent
Valko's cancellation didn't speed up content for your mains. It slowed it down!
A breakdown of why the antis pushed back the very thing they were fighting for, with their own hands 🧵
The longer PPG drag out Valko's return, the more expensive that return becomes for them. The game lives in patches. Every new patch makes the "version with Valko" more and more outdated. Bringing him back in six months isn't "switching him back on" anymore — it's weaving him in from scratch: on top of new mechanics, on top of new content, on top of a rewritten story. But don't take that to mean he'll never come back, because his removal is a real problem for every single LI.
Now the simple logic of their own production. Gacha games always run ahead. We get the current version while they already have the next one in development, sometimes the one after that (feel free to look into this yourself if you want). There's no other way: no studio can produce content in lockstep with the player at that patch cadence, and PPG's window is even tighter than the rest of the gacha market.
Which means Rafayel's myth and everything promised before 6/30 has been in production for a long time. And ALL of that content was written assuming 6 LIs. Now Valko has to be carved out of it. Did you enjoy the result of carving him out of patch 6.0? You think YOUR LI won't take damage?
And this isn't guesswork. The threads leading to Valko are in the lore itself. A sixth LI was predicted long before he was announced — from text that was already in the game, from the internal logic and the patterns people have broken down more than once. A six-part structure was baked in from the start, as the completing picture. The people who said so were laughed at. And then those same people performed shock when Valko showed up.
And EVERY character suffers for it — please understand this already! Rafayel was the only one without a counterpart, and that counterpart is Valko. You stripped that character of an entire layer of lore!
Removing Valko didn't free up company resources for anyone's favorite. That's a misconception born of ignorance. Removing Valko tied PPG's hands. Patch 6.0 is already a finished demonstration: they cut the content → the game went to pieces with bugs → people lost photos and journals they'd built up over 2+ years (there are documented cases of this). Every future patch where scenes have to be rewritten around an absent character isn't saved time. It's newly wasted time. And when it's done in a rush, even more problems surface. It's a domino effect. Remove the foundation, and the rest of the structure collapses with it.
The antis literally voted for their mains' content to arrive later and worse. Congratulations on the "win," folks 👍
Which brings the conclusion, and it isn't about personal preference. Valko should be brought back FIRST — because he's the foundation, not an extension. Restoring the foundation makes all the content that follows cheaper and faster. This isn't a concession to fans, it's relief for their own production pipeline.
What would actually save their reputation: release Valko + a batch of content for the other LIs. That's the best move for winning back the trust of every player. And that's exactly why they probably won't do it — it breaks their FOMO economy, where everything is stretched out to keep people logging in daily.
Instead they'll most likely push out a few new cards — rushed, and of "well, pretty mediocre" quality. I doubt even the mains' fans will appreciate that.
And this is where Rafayel's myth turns into a landmine of its own. If it ships rushed, rewritten and cut down, the fishes won't forgive two things: that the myth was used to plug a financial hole, and that quality was sacrificed to do it. Their main has already lost part of his lore because of this hasty decision! And now you want him used to cover losses from the boycott? That won't fix the situation. It's a fresh slap in the face, and a fresh scandal will follow it.
They simply need to stop being afraid and start standing behind their own creative vision.
Valko is their character. Their story. Their promise from June 27–28.
Finish what you started.
