Today I shared a tip at the conclusion of an interview that might assist those on the job hunt:

Respond quickly and directly, addressing the main point of the question. Then stop speaking and leave an opening for the interviewer to inquire further or move on.

For example, if asked to explain Flexbox, discuss direction, axes, align-items, and justify-content. Then ask the interviewer if they want more details on any of these points or other explanations about Flexbox.

Keep it to a maximum of one or two minutes.

This approach allows the interviewer to delve deeper where they see fit, avoids misleading information (from speaking excessively or offering incorrect statements), and ensures there is time for all planned questions.

Pro tip: This advice also works for visa interviews! Speak concisely and be direct.

And to all interviewers, strive to ensure at least one thing is learned during each interview. Aid candidates at the end by highlighting points they could study more, recommending books that could supplement their knowledge, or offering general advice like this.

I've tested the speed of @bunjavascript.

A common belief is it saves memory, but what about its performance for CPU-bound tasks? The results astonished me!

Bun processed 3704 requests in one minute compared to Node.js's 1273!

Bun outran by nearly 3 times. Sounds insane, eh?

I've received my invitation to use @github Copilot Chat within @WebStormIDE

My first question was a meta question, and it was answered correctly

Let's see how it evolves

I'm using Copilot (in the editor, not the chat) principally for small auto-completions as I haven't had excellent experiences with it generating substantial pieces of code

My issue usually revolves around small mistakes that take some time to realize, so it's better to write just small pieces with Copilot

Perhaps, in the Chat UI, it will be more effective at generating larger blocks of code, as it is easier to request fixes

I'll share more impressions and updates soon

I have used @PrettierCode every day for many years, and today, I learned something new :)

@fpscelo created a PR in @codeftwdev, and the format seemed unusual, with objects defined using multi-line formatting:

{
a: b,
c: d,
}

instead of

{ a: b, c: d }

When I returned to the main branch and forced Prettier, everything appeared suitable (single-line formatting).

Then, I returned to his branch and forced prettier there, resulting in no issues.

This seemed puzzling. Prettier is opinionated and should be able to reverse format changes.

Well, there's a catch: formatting changes for object literals aren't reversible in Prettier 😮

The root cause of this different format was incorrect configuration on his IDE.

So, exercise caution. Not all changes are reversible by Prettier.

The best practice when working with Prettier is to avoid manual formatting or using other tools.
