@Bigosaur Also, I saw you presented SOaW at EGX Birmingham in 2016 and I couldn't believe it - I was actually there! I somehow didn't see you though :( Small world I guess, lol.
@Bigosaur Hi there, I've been making a roguelike as a personal project that is largely inspired by Son of a Witch (fantastic game btw, got over 300 hours played :D) and I've been having trouble with enemy AI.
@Bigosaur Wow, thank you so much for the detailed response!
Your English is fantastic - you did an excellent job explaining. Yes, I did read that blog post (I read every single one, some multiple times, lol).
Wall hugging was the main component I missed. Now it all makes sense.
I would love some guidance on how you achieved the separation (and how it interacts with the horizontal alignment etc.) but I appreciate that you're likely a very busy man. If you get the time, please feel free to respond (or DM if you prefer).
Thank you very much.
It's clear from my observations that the steering for separation is more like a "general guideline" but collisions can still happen. And when they do, the enemy who caused the collision will briefly wander as a sort of "reset".

@sisus_co Thanks for posting this. I'm already a massive fan after just watching his first devlog. So much respect for devs that don't just wanna get the job done, but wanna get it done right!
@skjalgsm@roboryantron@JetBrainsRider@unity3d I say recently because I've only switched my IDE from VS to Rider recently. I don't recall ever having this problem using ReSharper in VS.
