I was music lead in a school with a focus on performing arts - 600 kids and a £300 total budget. we (super lucky!!!) had free instrumental lesson provision for years 4-6. Anything extra was made up by PTA fundraising.

@michael_merrick As an only-just-diagnosed autistic, the unwritten expectations of secondary are now explaining a lot about why the transition was horrendous for me. I luckily went to a middle school so at least I was used to subject classrooms and a timetable, but nonetheless…
