@CodeNewbies@anildash A3: appropriate colors for my purpose/audience, accessible font and color contrast, well-planned design and flow to make it visually appealing and easy to navigate #CodeNewbie
@CodeNewbies@anildash A2: Having a good site/app architecture (?? not sure what to call it), where things make sense where they are, and you can't access one page a billion different ways. To use @CodeNewbies' word - good flow, I suppose. #CodeNewbie
@lavie_encode@CodeNewbies@anildash@treehouse I love Treehouse! I find I need to really take my own initiative (when the instructor says, "I'll let you play around with that", I really do need to go experiment). Hand-holding, but not too much. :-) #CodeNewbie
@CodeNewbies A3: Those days when I would continue coding for "just one more hour" or say, "just gotta fix this bug"... until hours past my bedtime. I may have lost sleep, but that motivation and excitement is priceless! For that, it's worth it. #CodeNewbie
@CodeNewbies A2: I know we'll always be friends... but unless I can find a way to have coding and my other love (education), coding & I may need to take a step back. Ideally, they'll like each other, and we'll all live happily ever after. Time will tell. #CodeNewbie
@CodeNewbies A1: December 2016, I took my first (Python) course... just because. I immediately fell in love. I looked forward to seeing Python every day after work. We've been on and off, but we're still going strong. Love at first print? #CodeNewbie
@educatedlady20@CodeNewbies Hi Tanaisha! I'm working on a blog post about GitHub. I'd love to hear about your challenges and successes in finding resources and in actually learning GitHub. Would you be willing to chat with me about it?
What important information did you find difficult to attain while learning GitHub? What was missing from all the tutorials/explanations out there? What Qs do you still have? I'm doing some research for #CNC2018#BlogMore challenge from @CodeNewbies & would love your input!
What resource/information do you wish was available when you were learning to use GitHub? I'm writing a blog post for my #CNC2018#BlogMore challenge @CodeNewbies and would love your input! Thank youuuuu!!!! :D
Hey @CodeNewbies , I'd love your feedback on some blog post ideas that might be interesting to you (or would have been when you started learning). Note: Resource review would specifically be from an educator's perspective, taking into account how people learn.
@pittman_barry Unfortunately, you have to pay to do the assignments and quizzes. When I started, it was all free. Still great courses, though. I supplemented with Treehouse's Python track, which helped me do some larger projects (which was the most fun part, really).
