One of PRETTY WOMAN’s (1990) most memorable moments was completely unscripted.
At Garry Marshall’s suggestion, Richard Gere suddenly snapped the jewelry box shut on Julia Roberts’ hand, and her genuine laugh was so perfect it ended up in the film.
Rosie O’Donnell criticized Donald Trump during the Tony Awards conversation, calling him a “conman, narcissist and a psychopath.”
“If you grew up in New York, you knew he was an asshole and a liar from day one.”
Hi @Rodriguez! I’m Alicia McClendon.
We’re making a psychological thriller in the POV of a chronically and mentally unwell woman thrown into a murder mystery when her husband’s mistress is found dead.
We are crowdfunding for $5,000. Help? Retweet?

@LadePlatinum The logic they're presenting means that… If the movie bombed or didn't make any money like most indie films do does that mean she would give a portion of her check back so the filmmaker can break Even ? Of course, not cause that would be crazy right
@LadePlatinum Exactly. If you don't have the foresight to believe in the project and it's just a check, then get your check and then shuffle on. But don't come to me when your hand out when I put in all this work and chased all this investment/risked everything because you see me doing well.
Why are yall always dressing up greed as activism
If I paid you for a service, you’re not entitled to the money I make afterward
If you wanted a share of the backend, that should’ve been part of the deal from the start, or you should’ve taken the risk and worked for equity
And I'm not cheering for that to happen to her, but no one's going to want that on their set going forward. I know a ton of people of the 45ppl who worked on this movie that are getting crazy money thrown at them . And this woman stepped over dollars for dimes and likes.
The only lesson some production books should have from this instead of trying to blame the filmmaker who works within the budget is this;
If someone offers you 300/day and you think you're worth 500/day then don't sign the paperwork until you get what you want
It would probably benefit you to talk privately because it might get you some more money, even after the fact, then to go on social media and blast your second film credit, which will more than likely be your last one.
@OhSallyMcMillan@CindyBegel I've wasted way too much energy on somebody with a fake profile who has no connection to the film industry. It has no knowledge of distribution on the financials of any of this. Feel free to embarrass yourself more though.
@OhSallyMcMillan@CindyBegel So it's only relevant when everyone is making money but not relevant when the movie bombs or doesn't make any money or even breakeven like most independent films do? Because she wouldn't give up her money to help him break even would she? Of course, not bc she was paid for job
@OhSallyMcMillan@CindyBegel Now, if you're asking for Barker to be generous with what he was paid for his project and shared that is on him, but he's not obligated to do so because she was already paid for what she did.
